A huge shout-out to Lt. Jeremy Dugan for being awarded the AT&T Firefighter of the Year for a save he made on the river by pulling a 20-month-old out of a nasty hydraulic. He jumped into the hole, made the grab, and Engineer Eric Hickerson picked him up in a cataraft, rowing them to the shore.
Jeremy was a Rescue 3 Swiftwater Instructor for Arroyo in the past and continues to make a huge impact in the rescue world. Strong work, Brother.
These guys, along with the rest of Farmington's Technical Rescue team train on this stretch of river on a regular basis.
We are proud of both you and Eric! (Eric is also a former R3 and Arroyo Instructor)

We had a great time with several response agencies and the Carlsbad National Park crew down in Carlsbad the past couple of weeks. Here are just a few pictures or our RRO and RRT class. Thanks to Eddy County Fire & Rescue for hosting the training.

A very nice rescue. Keep your eyes open for our Ice Rescue courses this winter in Durango, CO! Be cautious about confronting frightened animals in these kind of circumstances. Frightened animals are unpredictable and potentially dangerous.
