September Mobile Food Distribution

Please note that due to the Labor Day holiday, the Clare County Mobile Food Distribution will be held on the SECOND Saturday of the month, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Clare County Fairgrounds, 418 Fairlane St., Harrison, MI 48625. We ask that participants please do not arrive before 7:00 AM and remember that we are limited to a maximum of 4 families per vehicle. No pets are allowed in vehicles during distribution, with the exception of service animals. Please follow all guidance from volunteers and local officers to help us create a safe and smooth experience for everyone. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we work together to help neighbors throughout our community.

Big news! The girls from Farwell Robotics team 8286 are teaming up with the girls from Stingers of Steel 6642, Marion Eagle Robotics 7794, BeaverTech Robotics 6533, and Clare Chaos Theory 7109 to form an awesome all girl joint team The RoboPuff Girls!
​We are heading to The Goonettes Invitational on October 10-11. The Goonettes Invitational is the largest all-girls FRC offseason event in the world, dedicated to empowering young women in STEAM, encouraging diversity, and giving students a safe, inclusive space to take charge, innovate, and show what they can do.
​To make this trip and competition a success for all of our students, we need your help! We are currently seeking community partners and donations to help cover competition costs, equipment, travel including hotel stay, and meals.

Once a month, our students and mentors have the opportunity to step outside the lab and give back to the community that supports us.
Robotics is about so much more than building robots—it’s about teamwork, leadership, service, and using our skills to make a positive impact.
We are incredibly proud of our students for representing Farwell Robotics with hard work, kindness, and EAGLE pride! We love Clare County and are honored to help care for the community we proudly call home.

Our August food distribution will be held at the Harrison Middle/High School Complex, 700 S. Fifth Street, Harrison, due to the Clare County Fair.

This event would not be possible without our amazing volunteers who generously give their time to help local families in need. Your dedication truly makes a difference in the lives of so many throughout our community.

We were especially blessed to have both the Harrison Robotics and Farwell Robotics teams join us as volunteers during our July distribution. Their willingness to serve our neighbors was greatly appreciated. We welcome other school teams, clubs, youth organizations, churches, and community groups to follow their lead and join us in making a difference by volunteering.

Please consider joining our volunteer team! Volunteers should arrive by 9:00 AM and dress for the weather. Youth 14 years of age and older are welcome to volunteer. Whether you're a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, we would love to have you be part of this important community effort.

Together, we can make a difference—one family at a time.

This group of four has helped bring our teams together like nothing else, and this is exactly why we created The Dummy Program. The goal is and will always be to bring others together with something we share. No matter big or small, everyone has a place here in the FIRST community.

Well, that's a wrap on Robotics Camp 2026. We learned so much, not only about how our robots function, but about ourselves too. Our students learned of all the amazing avenues as they grow into young adults. A huge thank you goes out to Ben, our amazing CMU advisor, for this last two weeks. He kept our students engaged and thinking not only about the now but what comes next. He made sure we had everything we needed including yummy popsicles to end our wonderful couple of weeks. Another thank you goes to Rachel for showing our students what Central Michigan University has to offer them and making it fun while they got out and about. Our students connected with our friends at Harrison Hornet Robotics, Clare StemFusion, and BeaverTech Robotics once again. Sharing ideas and coming up with some new ones in the process. These two weeks have allowed our students to grow in so many ways. Thank you so much to Kevin Smalley and Nick Winters for facilitating everything, and thank you to SPARKS for giving out students this opportunity!

Remember in robotics we are building more than robots!

Yesterday was filled with adventure! CMU College of Science & Engineering put on a scavenger hunt for the students. They had to solve riddles to find artwork around campus and take pictures of each piece. Farwell was the biggest group so we split into two. After lunch we dove into some aspects of programming. So excited that we get to spend one more day on this amazing campus. Be safe out there everyone.
