He did it! After flirting with sub 4:00 mile on three different occasions this year, Bentonville's Brian Burns, a University of North Carolina signee, got it done late tonight at the HOKA Festival of Miles in St. Louis, Missouri. Burns ran a 3:59.70. Burns finished in the HS Boys Championship mile. Utah's Jackson Spencer won the race with meet record 3:57.24. Congratulations to Burns and Bentonville Tigers head coach Mike Power.
The fastest female in Kansas history and she is only a junior! Congratulations to Maria Portela on her 11.38 at yesterday’s EKL Championship in Overland Park. “I knew I had a special race in me, but seeing that time was honestly surreal,” Portela said.

How bout those Bryant HS (Bryant, Arkansas) Hornets 🐝 🧹 sweeping 🧹 the 4x200 at the Meet of Champs in Russellville, Arkansas? The girls’ team ran a 1:41.58. The boys’ won with a 1:27.06.
