The Campbells were honored to participate in The Royal Oak Wahoos second annual Memorial day Tournament. We lost our 1st match against the Wahoos by a significant margin and our second against the Detroit Franklins by an equally significant margin! We want to extend our thanks to the Wahoos and their families for bringing together such a great event! We hope to be invited back next year and look forward to hosting the Wahoos later this season in Ferndale. Special thanks to Liana Miskanis for capturing so many great moments.

May 3rd coming blustery and cool brought the mighty Chelsea Monitor Base ball club to Ferndale to play 9 innings. The Monitors obviously had something against our outfielders as they were able to put the ball over our outfield seemingly at every at bat! The Campbells did score a smattering of tallies, but the offensive bonanza put on by the Monitors was not to be denied. The day was carried by the gentleman Of Chelsea decisively! Congratulations gentlemen! We look forward to seeing you all again to close out the season in Chelsea!

The Welcome Campbell BBC traveled to Chelsea for the first time this afternoon to play the Monitor BBC. Our great hosts held a clinic on how to hit and move around the bases, coming away with a handy win! The day was filled with great sportsmanship and easy comeraderie between both clubs as some of us reunited with old friends while others grew to love the sport of Vintage Base Ball. We hope to renew this friendship with the Monitors next season and beyond.

We were honored to be awarded the game ball by the Dexter Union Base Ball Club today. To commemorate our first meeting with the Union and also our 1st victory, I asked Mad Dog, Swede and Bucko to sign the ball. All three are long standing members of the Union that we have enjoyed taking the field against for many years in our days with The Royal Oak Wahoos. It was a great day with old friends and new!

Today we took the field against the Union Base Ball Club of Dexter. Our club was honored to share the field with such good company, a great crowd, and a couple of familiar faces. Today was our 1st trip to Ann Arbor and ultimately we were able to walk away with our 1st win as club. The Welcome Campbell’s had a great time sharing the field with our fine friends from Dexter. ⚾️

The Welcome Campbell BBC No.27 had a great time playing in the Memorial day vintage baseball tournament. Our first match of the season with great company and friendly competition. Today was also our clubs first time showing off our snazzy uniforms. 😄
