We're looking forward to another exciting Fall Season! As you prepare for our season kickoff tomorrow, here are some questions we get asked a lot:
What should players wear? We want the kids to be safe and comfortable, so they should dress according to the weather – in the fall, layers are best. Tennis shoes or cleats keep little feet safe and shin guards are great for older players if you have them! Please also send your player with a bottle of water.
Where should we park? The fields are located in Mott Park Recreation Area (2401 Nolen Drive). There is limited parking in the lot adjacent to the clubhouse as well as street parking. We ask that you only park on the side of street closest to the lower playing fields to allow traffic to move freely on Nolen Drive. Note: Division 4 (Grades 7-8) plays on the upper field (on the other side of Nolen Drive) but ALL players report to the Clubhouse on Week One.
Can we stay and watch? Absolutely! We encourage family/caregivers to bring a chair or blanket and watch the kids play. Our goal is to create a positive environment for the kids to learn and play soccer and for everyone to have a good time. We appreciate all of you helping us to make that goal a reality every week.
Will the players get jerseys? Yes and we ask that they wear them each week to play!
What about bad weather? Our biggest priority is safety so we pay close attention to the weather. If there are storms, heavy rain/snow, or extreme temperatures, please keep a look out for a cancellation notice from us via text and on our page.
Will there be a food vendor this year? Yes! Big Dee will be serving fresh food from the park again this season. Feel free to come hungry and support a local business!
What if we need to miss Week One? We understand everyone has the occasional scheduled conflict but we do expect players to attend consistently. If your player cannot attend Week One please send us an email at [email protected].
