It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Team RMA athlete Cole Conger.
Cole was a force of nature on the river- he paddled with an unmatched combination of ease, style, and quiet confidence. Whether he was rallying the local Class IV section, traveling to some of the largest rivers on the planet, or heading out on a top-secret mission to a remote corner of a seldom-known mountain range, Cole brought the same infectious spirit and unmistakable stoke to every adventure.
And somehow, he always made it look so easy—grinning from ear to ear and reminding everyone around him just how much joy there is to be found on the river.
Today is a profoundly sad day here in the Poudre River Valley as our community says goodbye to a local legend, a dear friend, and a deeply loved member of our crew. Cole was taken from us far too soon. We will miss his endless stoke, his adventurous spirit, his friendship, and the countless ways he made our team and our paddling community better, simply by being part of it.
His impact will remain in the rivers he loved, the people he inspired, and the stories we will carry with us.
