last monthβs progress was quietβ¦
but the intention was loud.
I started leaning more into what aligns & stepping back from what doesnβt.
ππ‘π’π§π π¬ π π¬πππ«πππ: walking or stretching while reading, writing my directed study research, going to creative events, volunteering again, rebuilding my core muscles
ππ‘π’π§π π¬ π π¬ππ¨π©π©ππ: eating meat, drinking alcohol, treating self-care as optional, feeling guilty for going to bed early, checking social media while at work, school or in the gym
learn to trust the season youβre in ππ½
learn to embrace it ππ§π ππ§π‘ππ§ππ π’π.

This took me way too long to learnβ¦
π Comfort costs more than effort EVER will.
Everything has a cost, so the real question is: what will I get in return on my investment? Comfort gives you relief now but costs you your progress and time that you NEVER get back.
Effort might cost more upfront, but that investment stacks up. Iβm choosing what builds over time, a lifestyle that is well worth the mental and physical growth that comes from it.

Planks are one of the most dreaded exercises by my clients, but I still incorporate them into almost EVERY workout! π
Why? Bc planks are extremely beneficial for building core strength! π₯ The process of bracing your core in a plank sets the foundation for core engagement during lifts!
π KEYS TO THE PERFECT PLANK
π Arms shoulder-width apart
π Palms flat on the floor
π Neutral spine
π Keep neck, head, hips all in line with back
π Glutes squeezed
π Core muscles tight and engaged
