“I’m eating mindfully” but you’re still eating in a sympathetic state which is why you’re feeling bloated. 🤰 even though you’re eating “healthy”

Let’s talk about your nervous system state — because it’s not just what you’re eating, it’s how you’re eating.

Most of us are eating in a constant sympathetic (fight or flight) state — rushing between meetings, scrolling our phones, or eating while stressed. 📲 😩 💻

😫 Here’s what that does:

↓ Lowers stomach acid
↓ Slows digestion + nutrient absorption
↑ Leaves food sitting in the gut → hello bloating, gas, and inflammation 🤰

ESPECIALLY if you’re gassy, burping or just feel like you have sluggish gut motility. ⬇️

If your body doesn’t feel safe, it won’t digest.

And you don’t need to feel like a chicken 🐔 running around w ur head cut off - this could be as simple as shallow breathing, 😮‍💨 being GO GO GO or just not slowing down.

🤸‍♀️Here are 3 habits that help me and our clients at beat bloating (without changing a single food):

🌱Deep belly breaths before eating to activate parasympathetic (rest + digest) mode

No phones or distractions — just you + your plate

Mindful chewing — slowing down, actually tasting your food, noticing when you’re full

And no — mindfully eating isn’t just about “eating a salad” while checking emails.

It’s about actually BEING with your food. 🍲

A lot of us ladies assume when we get in shape it will solve all our confidence, femininity and self worth problems… only to realize that too is temporary

Why? Because to feel EMBODIED is to feel SENSUAL. And feeling sensual is not about how you look it’s actually quite the opposite. It’s rooted in FEELING.

Pole taught me to focus less on how I look I movements and more on how my body feels in each movement.

Self-liberation starts in your body.

Not in a number on the scale. Not in a pant size. Not in the mirror.

When you start focusing on how you feel—strong, nourished, energized, at home in your skin—your body starts reflecting that back to you.

The way you move, the way you carry yourself, the way you show up…it all shifts. And suddenly, the way you look isn’t something you chase—it’s a byproduct of the way you feel.

Liberate yourself from the old narratives. You were never meant to shrink—you were meant to take up space.

Working with also changed my life and introduced me to that deeper layer of work. Changed my mf life.

Yeah that’s what i thought. 👊

ANYWHO , random things I do that help me get a lean sexy back:

❤️‍🔥 Train back (duh) but I focus less on width now and more on mid back —> strategically programmed back days to target that upper / mid/ lower back and still touching up lats to maintain that hourglass ⏳

❤️‍🔥 I push close to failure and track that. I don’t guess or assume bc it just feels hard. I track my lifts and film 2-3 per session to ensure my form and ex*****on is solid.

❤️‍🔥 don’t be a big back - lol jk but not jk — I am currently hitting my macros within 5g (this is for a season not a lifetime pls.) this ensures im eating enough protein carbs healthy fats and fiber to SHAPE my physique.

❤️‍🔥 multiple cutting phases & reverse diets followed by healthy maintenance phases — cuts reveal the muscle, reverse diets ensure you keep the progress w/o regaining.c MAINTNENACE phases are how we build more muscle , muscle = “tone” that word yall love so much

❤️‍🔥 cardio 20 min 3x week + a daily step goal of 7k

❤️‍🔥 proper recovery, mobility ✅ and PATIENCEEEEEE - I’ve been working with a coach on n off for 3-4 years of my journey which has helped hold me accountable, outside of that I’ve been super patient but also consistent. Invested in my fitness support and took my training seriously.

THE IDENTITY GAP. Let’s talk about it 👇

You know that moment you’re “good” start seeing results and then all of a sudden you start to relax.. get too comfortable… and the cycle 🔄 repeats .

Your behavior will always default to your subconscious identity.

So yes, I know that you have been all or nothing your whole life, but we have to stop identifying as that if we want to see results.

We have to start identifying as someone who is flexible adaptable, and is able to recalibrate very quickly even when it’s not perfect (this is healthy delusion, and then we build evidence toward that)

The core of behavior change is identity.

And when we allow ourselves to channel that high achieving energy, not towards perfection and optimal, but towards adaptability flexibility, while still maintaining certain structures, this is when we’re actually able to make a shift without burning out.

Because structure was never meant to be rigid it was meant to be supportive.

But if we only know how to operate within perfect structures and the system that we’ve created, they were not actually building the skills to make it a lifestyle for life.
