Thanks to the hard work of the folks at Parks & Rec., and the grounds crew at Eastwood, 2.6 acres of Bermuda sod, from holes two, three, four and five, were cut and reused at Billy Bowlegs Park.
This upgrade has greatly enhanced the park, saving the city ~$50,000.

On May 15th, city officials voted in favor of taking a loan of $2.1 million to renovate holes one through nine. The improvements fall in part to a new road that will bisect holes one and two, and five and six -- essentially continuing the once service road to Veronica Shoemaker.
