Today God reminded me exactly why I do what I do.

Earlier this morning, I was getting some pushback from upper leadership at Lee Health for still helping patients… even though I’m no longer employed there. And honestly, it bothered me, because helping people is who I am. It’s what God called me to do.

No lie… about 15–20 minutes after hearing that news, my phone rang.

It was an individual I met in the hospital a little over a month ago. He wasn’t calling because he needed something… he was calling to thank me for helping him get into a program. He told me he completed it and graduate, and wanted me to know that meeting him where he was made a real impact on his life. 🙏🏾💙

Then he said something that hit me hard:

“If you ever need me for anything, to speak to someone, to come to an event, to share my story.. I’d love to give back.”

That touched my heart. That was God’s confirmation. A reminder that I’m in the right place, doing the right work, and being used as a vessel no matter what organization I’m with.

I’m honored, blessed, and grateful that God saved my life and placed me in the position to pour into others… just like so many poured into me.

🦃 Turkey Trot 2025 | Community Strong

What an incredible morning!

We teamed up with FMPD, PAL, Drug Free Lee, Park Royal Behavioral Health Hospital, Centerstone, and so many other amazing partners to bring our community together for the annual Turkey Trot.

Having everyone in one place, running, connecting, supporting our youth, and promoting wellness, is what makes events like this truly special.

And of course, a huge thank-you to former Pro Bowler & NFL star Jevon Kearse for showing up, showing love, and making this day unforgettable.

Lee Health is Hiring: Recovery Peer Specialist – HealthPark Hospital

Lee Health is looking for a Recovery Peer Specialist to join our team at HealthPark Hospital! This is a Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM position, offering an incredible opportunity to give back and make a difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction.

Qualifications:
• Minimum two years in recovery (lived experience required)
• A strong desire to help others in the addiction and recovery field
• Willingness to work under the Addiction Medicine umbrella, which is part of Psych Medicine
• Commitment to obtaining state certification within the first year of employment
