🏇 Daniel Hill and The Draggin Ballz had a killer night last night and pulled out 4 wins against our top team No Mercy! Most teams struggle to get 1 rack on the No Mercy crew, great shooting Draggin Ballz! ✋
❤️ The 8Ball Lounge just didn’t seem the same without our friend Tom O’Brian there. I’m pretty sure he played pool at 8Ball everyday for the last 30 years. I remember playing him when I was about 14 years old, that was a long time ago. Tom is going to be missed, but I’m certain that his legacy lives on through our league and our players. 8ball lounge was a special place to him, if only the walls could talk. Please keep your eyes peeled for a Fred Tyres & Tom O’Brian memorial tournament. It’s in the works.
🏨 Don’t forget to let me know if you’d like me to book your room at the Westgate in Las Vegas for BCA Nationals if you plan on going whether you win a trip or not. Hotel rooms fill up quickly and I wouldn’t want to see any of our league miss out!
🎱 Gustavo Guilarte hit an 8 on the break last night cashing in on 105$. The jackpot is open to anyone in our league who would like to join, just mark it down on your envelope this coming week.

It’s been a rough year for our pool community. We’ve experienced a lot of loss. Let’s keep Fred Collier, Fred Lynn, Fred Tyres, Tom O’Brian, and Mike White in our thoughts this weekend. I’ll see ya’ll next week.

⚠️ IMPORTANT VEGAS ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️
If you’d like to book a room in Las Vegas for the BCA Nationals in 2027, please understand the following and read entirely to the bottom of this post.
🎱 If you or your team is going “no matter what”, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit. You will also be required to pay for the room in full by January 1st or lose your deposit. This allows time for our league to pay the hotel as required in advance.
💵 Rooms are 117$/Night Plus Tax. I still have not gotten an answer on whether this is the rate for all rooms, or single-bed rooms, or double-bed rooms. I will keep everyone posted and let you know as soon as I do.
🙅♂️ BCA has also introduced the X-Pass this year. The X-Pass allows you to play in mini-tournaments, eligibility for fast pass in the mini-tournaments, free parking at the STRAT and the Westgate, and gets you discounts on various things. If you DO NOT stay at the Westgate or the STRAT, the X-Pass will cost you 80$.
🏨 I have booked all rooms for our league who is going based on our budget at the Westgate. Meaning, The singles trips, captains trip, team trips, league operator and assistant all have room reservations today.
Let me explain why this is happening...
‼️ Due to past issues with room blocks and availability, CSI has made changes to room blocks. Leagues are now required to pay a non-refundable deposit of 20$ per night per room in their block. Leagues are also required to pay for the whole room block in full by January 8th.
👎 I understand that these new policies and processes are not ideal. Unfortunately there were leagues in the past who ruined it for everyone because they made unrealistic room reservations and sold out the hotel, then cancelled last minute while other leagues were left to go elsewhere.

⚠️ Tournament Announcement ⚠️
The Bob Martin Memorial is coming up at the end of this month. If there’s a tournament I won’t miss, it’s definitely this one. They have it every year!
It’s at Miscue Lounge and the organization is always top notch. It’s a two day event and they’re usually through the first day by 10PM. Bobby and Rick Martin do an awesome job on this tournament.
Jordan Germani won this one last year. Don’t let him get it again!

‼️ I wanted to share some important dates for you to add to your calendars if you haven't already.
👨✈️ 11/12 - Captain's Tournament
👬 11/14 - Team Playoffs
🧍 11/15 - Singles Tournaments + Election Voting Begins
🎉 11/22 - League Banquet + Final Election Voting
👨✈️ Our captain's tournament will be played like "Fairmatch" is played in Las Vegas Nationals. We will send the winning player for a singles trip to Las Vegas. This includes airfare + hotel + tournament entry.
👬 Team Playoffs are our standard team tournament that we have every year. There will be three brackets, likely a platinum/gold, silver, and bronze/iron. Each winning team will get a team's trip to Las Vegas. This includes airfare + hotel + tournament entry + jersey.
🧍 Singles tournaments will be players broken out into three different Fargo brackets, top, middle, and bottom. The winning players wil get a single's trip to Las Vegas. This includes airfare + hotel + tournament entry.
🎉 Our league banquet includes, food, drink, a scotch doubles tournament, and raffles. The scotch doubles teams are chosen by splitting the player pool in half by Fargo, then randomly selecting a player from each for the teams.
🗳️ League voting will be done online the same way that we did last year. All league players will have a week to vote.
⚠️ All league positions will be voted on this year, this includes league operator, league operator assistant, and 5 league officer positions. Please let me know if you're interested in running for any of the positions.

🏇 Draggin Ballz inches one rack closer to Fear, Inc. last night, Mack Truck and Shutup and Shoot maintain their 1 rack difference and Bankin’ On It pulls ahead of SWFFS by 2 racks. Great playing everyone!
❤️ Lot’s of love going out to Fred Tyres, he will definitely be missed around here. There is some talk about a memorial tournament for him, but it’s still undecided as to where. If I get details, I'll keep everyone updated, so stay tuned. Big thank you to Bob Hererra for sharing pictures of Fred The Pool Table Guy in his prime.
