HIGH SCHOOL HAMMERS CLOSED IT OUT. 🔨

The Fort put two high school teams on the floor this weekend — and both of them made the silver pool. One went 4-2, the other went 3-3.

East Noble. New Haven. Carroll. Homestead. Garrett. Prairie Heights. Archbold. Yorktown. Eight different schools, one bench. Guys who'll be lining up across from each other come November spent this weekend in the same corner, pulling for each other every single match.

All of them battled. And they got one more run together before the season starts up.

That's the offseason done right. Now the real work begins.

Middle school and elementary each went 4-2 on the weekend — and both came home silver pool champs.

Six duals apiece. Every kid on the mat, every round. Nobody hiding, nobody taking a match off. When you send two teams into a duals room and both walk out with hardware, that's not luck. That's a room that shows up.

Proud of every one of these wrestlers. And to the coaches who ran the corners all day and the parents who drove, packed the coolers, and stood on that wall — thank you.

Thursday we do it again, and Waylon Cressell is running practice.

Waylon was one of the first kids through the door when The Fort opened. Now he's a USA Wrestling Triple Crown winner — Folkstyle Nationals, Fargo freestyle and Fargo Greco, all in the same year. Runner-up at U20 World Team Trials, Super 32 champ, two-time Indiana state champ, and committed to Northern Iowa.

He's coming home to run our room for a night.
