Established in 1952, the Fort Wayne Komet Hockey Club is the second oldest minor league hockey franchise in North America. The Komets have one of the most loyal fan bases in all of minor league hockey, averaging over 8,000 fans per game. Fan comments and opinions do not necessarily reflect those of the Fort Wayne Komets organization.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Aunt Millie's Bread and the Popp family for the loss of bakery president, Mr. John F. Popp.
In the summer of 1990, Mr. Popp and Perfection Bakeries played a pivotal role in helping the Franke family keep the Komets in Fort Wayne. He will be greatly missed.
