when I tell you the EASIEST part of my week has been tracking my nutrition and dropping another pound on the scale.
if your health habits are the first thing to drop off when life gets busy - your kids are sick, you have a deadline this week, and you have no backup childcare - you don’t have a lifestyle, you have a “plan” that’s not supporting you long term.
If you’re immediately throwing in the towel as soon as you have a busy week coming up and saying “I’ll just start again next week, this week is crazy” - you’re not optimizing your strategy for your life. You’re viewing your health as an “off and on” switch instead of focused on the daily sustainable habits you need in order to stay consistent.
Here’s my daily non negotiable (even with 2 sick kids home from daycare)
- strength train OR get 8000 steps (I might not get both & that’s ok)
- hit my protein and calorie targets (easy because I know my numbers and I know what foods to grab to hit them)
- drink 60-80oz of water (refill my Stanley 2x)
That’s it. It’s the basics, and it’s the nonnegotiables that keep me (and my clients) moving toward my goals even when life gets busy.
