Content Post #3: Starter Gear
**Loaders**
This is simple - your loader or hopper holds the paintballs and feeds them into the gun. There are three types: plain shell(non-motorized), agitating or electronic. For starter gear it gets tricky because it depends on play style too.
But - to streamline... here are my suggestions:
Hoppers:
1. Planet Eclipse PAL (high capacity) - non-motorized but agitates if you are using the EMEK gun (see other post). *pic1*
2. Spire Loaders - these are more expensive but really great loaders. The IR2 seems to be a great entry into mid range loaders. *pic2*
3. Dye Rotors - just solid.

Content Post #2: Starter Gear
**Mask or Goggles**
In my opinion, this is the single most important item on your gear list. It can make or break your experience. And, I remember my first piece of paintball gear being a mask. You don't want an uncomfortable mask... (Im looking at you crappy rental mask!) and you don't want a mask that fogs up on you. If you can't see... you cant shoot. So - if you splurge on something - get a good mask. ** Did I mention it protects your FACE?**👨🦰👩🦰
Masks:
1. Empire E-Flex (between $60-90)
2. Bnkerkings CMD ($160-225) expensive but awesome
You can find cheaper ones - did I mention it protects your face?

Content Post #1: Starter Gear
Just like any other hobby - paintball has a huge variety of gear for its players. In this post, I am going to highlight some of the best starter gear available today. **Keep in mind - this is my opinion and I always encourage you to buy at your local stores**
Also - almost every paintball field will have rental gear available for you if you do not want to purchase gear right away. In fact, I encourage players to go out and play before they decide to invest in gear.
So - you decided to gear up? Lets get into the details.
**The essentials**
1. Marker/Gun - The paintball guns are often referred to as markers. This is your 2nd most important piece of equipment when buying. Right now, my favorite entry level marker is the EMEK from Planet Eclipse.

Why paintball fellowship? I have great memories of paintball from junior high all the way through college. It is a great way to get outdoors with friends and play a high energy sport that gets in some extra exercise without feeling like a trip to the gym.
My hope is to grow a group of people looking for an excuse to make some new friends and hit the fields once or twice a month. Or - just join us when you can!
Our first group event will be October 16th (more details to follow).
Welcome to DFW Paintball Fellowship. This group will be used to help coordinate paintball events with Matt Hadad and friends in the area. We will also connect churches and church groups to open paintball events in the area for anyone who wishes to join. Please invite others. Anyone is welcome!
