Exercise was never an issue for Liaโ€ฆ

But postpartum life hit her hard, leaving her juggling the challenges of motherhood and a demanding full-time job.

Despite a strong background with fitness and nutrition, she was struggling trying to find structure and balance as a new mom.

I waited too long.

After having Colten, I kept putting off my personal health & fitness journey.
โฃ
Iโ€™ll focus on that โ€œNext monthโ€ โฃ

And โ€œNext Monthโ€ turned into another month.

And another.โฃ

The perfect postpartum workout program that I was supposed to write for myself, did not get finished.

Ironically, I fell into the same trap that I always talk about. I thought that I could do it all. I thought that I could manage my new baby, my family, the house, my job AND my fitness goals.

But I just did not have the capacity. It took me a while to admit that.

It wasnโ€™t until I hired a coach that I got back on track. Would I rather sit at my desk and drink an entire pot of coffee all day? Absolutely.

But instead I drink water.

So what are the benefits of drinking more H2O?
โ–ช๏ธboosts metabolismโฃ (encourages weight loss)
โ–ช๏ธcan help reduce headaches
โ–ช๏ธhelps with water retention (typically the more you drink the less your body holds on to)
โ–ช๏ธincreases energyโฃ
โ–ช๏ธmaximizes performance
โ–ช๏ธassists with healthy digestion and regularity
โ–ช๏ธhelps you feel more full
โ–ช๏ธimproves sleep
โ–ช๏ธremoves waste/toxins โฃ
โ–ช๏ธlubricates joints โฃ
โ–ช๏ธregulates body temp โฃ
โ–ช๏ธmaintains pH balance โฃ
โ–ช๏ธboosts immune system โฃ
โ–ช๏ธgreat for your skin

Itโ€™s recommended to drink AT LEAST half of your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 160lbs, you should be drinking 80oz of water daily. But increase your intake gradually!

What are the signs you may be dehydrated? Dry mouth, excessive thirst, dry skin, muscle cramps, decreased urine output, irritability, headaches, and darker yellow-colored urine.

Tips for increasing your water intake:
โœ…Drink 20-30oz of water first thing in the morning
โœ…Spread out your water consumption throughout the day and in between meals
โœ…Carry a big water bottle with you everywhere and keep one at your desk
โœ…Use flavorings like BCAAs, herbal infusions, add fruit, or crystal light/mio flavorings
โœ…Drink tea
Eat more fruits and vegetables (think watermelon, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, berries)
