Let me start by saying I do not have much natural rhythm, dancing does not come naturally to me. But Don is amazing, and in just a few lessons I was able to learn a dance (box step with fancy stuff and a dip) and do it pretty well! My wife loved it and now we have a "go-to" when we go out. Don was very patient and knew exactly how to explain things so that I could understand and get the moves right. He also focuses on the connection with your partner and how important it is to communicate with them non-verbally. For my wife and I it was an awesome experience and we have come back for other lessons with Don because he really is the best. So even if you think you have zero ability to dance, Don can find the rhythm in you and bring it out.

📷Such a great experience. We went as a group for my husband’s birthday to do something new, rather than the same ol’ scene. We were all a little nervous/anxious, but were greeted with friendly faces and fun personalities. 5 minutes in, we were dancing like semi pros, or at least it seemed that way. The dance instructions were simple and easy to follow, while the instructors were patient and had a great sense of humor.
I recommend Volta 100% for anyone wanting to learn how to dance or if you are just looking to try something new and different.

Volta Dance Company has been a game changer for my daughter. We have searched high and low for something that sparks passion within her. We are thrilled to say we have finally found it! Don and Diana are amazing teachers who not only teach the steps and techniques, they also make each student feel special. My daughter went into the first class questioning if she would even like it. As we walked out of the studio she couldn’t wait to tell me how much she loved dancing. She has taken jazz, ballet and hip hop before but nothing ever sparked her interest like this. We signed up for a workshop (4 days, 3 hours a day) which instantly hooked my daughter. Now she wants to dance everyday for a minimum of three hours a day.
There truly are not enough words to express how Volta Dance Studio has changed my daughter’s life. She will be the first to tell you how she feels more confident dancing, more confident in her own skin and how she’s now more outgoing thanks to Don and Diana. Don was excellent, patient, encouraging, and took the time to teach the finer points and details. As someone who has never really danced, Don had a great mix of fun, didn’t let us get stuck on one type of dance (we touched on salsa, foxtrot, and the cha cha), and he demonstrated the basic principles for each type.
