I always start my parent equipping sessions with the same question:

“Give me ONE win… no matter how small.” ❤️

Two of my families who have children with VERY challenging meltdowns and resistance shared that over the last two weeks… the meltdowns significantly decreased. Why? Because they implemented ONE strategy.

Now listen… I give families LOTS of strategies 😂
But they picked ONE simple, practical, doable thing and actually used it consistently.

And in their own words:
“I did _____ and saw a significant decrease in meltdowns.”

Y’ALL. I was sooooo happy!!!!
And this happened FAST… within TWO WEEKS.

The families who come to me are not parents who “haven’t tried enough.”
These are intentional, exhausted, loving parents who have flipped over EVERY rock looking for answers.

They’ve tried:
• play therapy
• counseling
• ABA therapy
• medication
• reward charts
• consequences
• all the things

And yet… ONE strategy helped reduce meltdowns. COME ON!!!! 🙌

I actually started as a learning therapist and ended up becoming a behavior therapist because no one could tell me what to do with one of my own children. The “experts” had no answers for us. Don’t even get me started on some of the things I allowed professionals to do because I was desperate for help.

So… I learned.
I researched.
I practiced.
And guess what? It worked.

Now I spend my time equipping parents online when tough love, soft love, sticker charts, lectures, and “just count to 10” are NOT working.

I’ve worked with some VERY challenging behaviors. And families leave my program with:
✔️ answers
✔️ practical tools
✔️ understanding
✔️ hope

Because every child, teen, and young adult WANTS to do well.

But if you don’t address the FIVE central areas that affect behavior, executive function, emotional regulation, and learning… you stay stuck.

You need tools rooted in:
🧠 brain profile
💪 the body
🏡 the environment
❤️ nervous system regulation
📚 practical research-based strategies

Not just “take deep breaths.” 😅

As a mom and a learning & behavior therapist, I do whatever it takes to equip families… because WE were that family.

And that makes this deeply personal to me. ❤️

Moms—quick thought going into summer…

If your child or teen struggled this year (with learning, focus, behavior, or confidence), waiting until fall usually makes it harder.

Summer is actually the best time to catch up and get ahead.

No pressure. No grades. Just space to build skills, routines, and confidence.

You don’t need hours a day—just the right support and consistency.

I work with kids and teens to close academic gaps and strengthen behavior so they walk into the school year ready, not already behind.

If that’s something your child needs, feel free to message me.

🔹 “He forgets everything.”
🔹 “He never does his chores.”
🔹 “He disrespects me constantly.”
🔹 “He’s glued to his screen—video games are his life.”
🔹 “He’s unmotivated, disorganized, and impulsive.”
🔹 “He hates school.”
🔹 “I’m losing him… and I don’t know what to do.”
Mamas—if any of this sounds familiar, please hear this first: you are not alone.
These aren’t just “bad behaviors.” They’re signs of executive function challenges—something we see often in neurodivergent children and teens. And no… this is not your fault.
🧠 A neurodivergent brain doesn’t play by the rules of traditional parenting.
Punishments, lectures, reward charts?
They often backfire.
Instead of helping, they can create more stress, more shutdowns, and more explosive moments. 💥
Here’s the truth most parents aren’t told:
👉 Executive function skills do not get better on their own.
👉 Traditional therapy often misses the real root of the problem.
👉 Discipline alone won’t rewire a struggling brain.
👉 But the brain can get stronger.
As a Learning and Behavior Therapist—and a mom of three amazing neurodiverse kids 💪🏽—I’ve learned that 19+ hidden factors affect behavior. And only a few of them actually move the needle when it comes to regulation, growth, and real change.
Now imagine this…
✨ Fewer meltdowns
✨ Less defiance
✨ Better memory, focus, and responsibility
✨ Real interest in school—and life beyond a screen
✨ A calmer, more connected home.
Yes, this is possible.
And yes, change can begin—in four sessions.
Families who start on March 30 see real behavior changes by May.
If you’re tired of guessing, reacting, and just trying to survive… let’s talk.
📩 Message me if you’re ready to finally understand your child’s brain and unlock their potential.
You don’t have to keep surviving.
Let’s help your child—and your whole family—thrive.

I spoke with a heartbroken mom today. 💔
She came to me on the verge of tears, terrified that her teenage son wouldn’t be ready for life.

She said:

Today, I coached a parent who came to me because she is extremely concerned that her teen child will not be prepared for life. She expressed to me:

-he forgets everything
-does not do his chores
-disrespects me
-is addicted to media and video games
-is not motivated
-has poor time management
-does not listen
-dislikes school
-impulsive
-unorganized

These are common challenges for individuals who have been identified as neurodivergent. This simply means that their brain has strengths and weaknesses. Their weaknesses cause challenges in behavior that many times we label as rude or disrespectful In actuality, they struggle with executive function.

Traditional discipline strategies do not work with individuals who struggle with executive function skills. In fact, they work against them only making them feel more stressed out and increase anger or withdrawal.

Traditional counseling, ABA therapy, Play therapy and many other types of therapies many times do not fully get the results parents are looking for because they do not address the most critical factor in making the brain stronger. The brain is a muscle and can get stronger!

There are over 19 factors that affect behavior and some are not obvious. In fact, most discipline strategies do not address the five factors that are most important in getting the results necessary for children and teens to improve self regulation.

I assess these five factors to equip parents, teachers and students to have success quickly. I not only have professional training, I am the mom of three neurodiverse children!! I get to practice all the time!!!!

What would life feel like if your child or teen:

-had less tantrums
-no more melt downs
-was more cooperative
-managed school well
-remembered things
-was more responsible
-had better cooperation
-developed interest in other things besides video games?

Yes, it is possible!

If you're ready, say yes I am ready!

As a Learning and Behavior Therapist and a mom of three neurodiverse children, every day I get to help equip parents with the challenges that neurodiverse children and teens may encounter.

Parents struggling with the following challenges:

-meltdowns
-anger and aggression
-lack of boundaries
-won't listen
-won't follow directions
-food issues and sensitivities
-demand avoidance
-yelling
-sleep issues
-inappropriate response to correction
-defiance
-lack of focus
-won't do homework
-hates school
-unmotivated
and no incentive works!!!!

You may have tried traditional therapies, tough love, soft love, and nothing is working!

You are left feeling frustrated, stressed, out of strategy and most of all discouraged.

At times, it puts a strain on your marriage and family dynamics.

As parents, we have been there!!! There is good news!! As a Learning and Behavior Therapist, I work with families in eight states and Canada to equip them with solutions that traditional therapies overlook.

I utilize a research-based comprehensive program that gets families a 99% success rate!

My families begin to see their child or teen increase in:

-self-regulation
-doing tasks that they hate
-problem-solving
-self-motivation
-learning responsibility and accountability
-getting through academics without power struggles
-and working with you instead of the constant tug of war!

Parenting becomes more joyful instead of an uphill battle!

All children and teens want to learn.
All children and teens want to be successful.
All children and teens want to please the adults in their life.

Yes, they really do!!!!

If you are ready to stop the madness and are tired of using strategies that are not getting you the results you desperately desire, reach out!
