Senior Spotlight: Jaylee Sheffield ❤️
From athlete to coach, leader, mentor, and role model, Jaylee’s impact on TCC reaches far beyond a single season.
This season, Jaylee represented Lady Chrome 4.2, served on our Leadership Team, coached Bitty Bolts, Fuse, and Energy, and was recognized as a USASF Scholarship recipient. For years, she has invested her time, energy, and heart into this program, helping athletes both on and off the mat.
Now, Jaylee is heading to TCU, where she will study neuroscience and child development on a pre-med track through the John V. Roach Honors College.
When asked what cheer taught her, Jaylee shared that it taught her how to keep going and how to work for something bigger than yourself. We could not think of a better way to describe her journey.
Whether she was stepping onto the floor as an athlete, leading younger athletes as a coach, or serving this program in countless ways behind the scenes, Jaylee consistently showed what it means to put others first and invest in something greater than yourself.
She hopes to stay connected to her love for cheer while pursuing a future in pediatrics, where she can continue making a positive impact in the lives of children.
Jaylee, thank you for the countless ways you have poured into TCC over the years. Your influence can be found in athletes across multiple teams, and your mark on this program will be felt long after your final season.
We are proud of everything you are, on and off the mat. We love you, support you, and cannot wait to watch God’s plans unfold in your life.
IKTR. ❤️
