The IG world needs to meet Ms. Ruth! Her granddaughter gifted her mobility sessions and she inspired me within one minute of meeting her. Ruth is 92 years old and wants to put in the work to keep moving well after 2 knee replacements. She prefers to do most of our hour long sessions on her feet because she feels lazy when she sits.
Here is the real life example what I sometimes say when I teach a group class…. At the end of the day, the goal is to be the great grandma or grandpa that can pick your own keys up when they drop or be able to get off the floor on your own, and, to not be hurting doing daily life things!
She enjoys working out doing her own laundry, own cooking and own cleaning. The only thing I think she doesn’t do is drive (but between you and me I think that’s because she doesn’t like driving her daughters stick shift 😉). She Ubers back and forth twice a week. What a lovely lady ❤️
She has so much strength! I hope Ruth inspires you to move today and every day!

It is very common for a client to not have enough flexibility in their shoulders so they get to a place they feel "stuck", and then begin to recruit their spine to help them out. It is also common for a client to never train their scapula, but it is too important of a joint in relation to the shoulder to be forgotten. Come discover your shoulders true range of motion and become more body aware of your upper body and what is actually happening as you participate in your fitness class, or sport, or every day life. We will work to break through range of motion limitations and work on strengthening the shoulder.

Hips Like Butter Workshop happening this Wednesday at 7pm!
We often hear from clients, "my hips feel tight". It is common to feel this way because we form habits from our daily movement patterns. When we don't train our hips in their full range of motion, we start recruiting other joints to make up for the loss of flexibility. This workshop will lead you through the proper way to train your hips to keep them functioning as healthy as possible. You will leave feeling stretched and strong.
