Happy Fathers Day everyone. I hope you get to spend time with your kids, father or family sometime today….call them or hug em while you can. My Dad grew up on a small, Wisconsin dairy farm during the great depression, and as a young man arrived on the beaches of Normandy to help wounded combat soldiers in WWII. He and my Mom were civil rights activists in the 1960’s in Mississippi...and they received many death threats from the K*K, our house was spray painted with racial slurs and even worse was when the K*K burned crosses in our front yard. But he did not become cynical or jaded, and he continued to help and serve others. He worked with the rotary club to help fight polio in addition to traveling to the Far East and Africa to help improve their farming practices. After retiring as a soil chemist, and professor at UF, he spent around 20,000 hours volunteering at the Veterans hospital in Gainesville, FL. He was a giver, he loved people and was a great role model for the kids. (I TRY TO DO THAT FOR MY KIDS AS WELL… ) I’m so fortunate to call Dr Don Myhre, Sr my Dad. We miss you and remember the good times everyday Dad! ❤️☀️

What a great celebration of life for down in St Petersburg last week. Pete brought people together when he was alive and he did so as a result of his passing as well. He would have wanted us to have a good time visiting with each other and that’s exactly what we did…many Pete stories were shared, there was lots of laughter and lots tears. Much love to his Mom, son Pete Jr, brother Jamie and the rest of the family. Pete’s positive vibes will continue to live on in all of us who knew him. ❤️ tell your loved ones you love them TODAY.

I’m really going to miss you Pete…I can’t believe I won’t see you on my next trip down to Tampa. So thankful we got to hang out a week ago at the in St Pete….you really were one of a kind my friend. 💔 countless crazy adventures and stories to be told…RIP sending lots of love to Pete Jr and the family. ❤️
