WEC Winter Spectacular I Recap!!!
✨Willa stepped into the .80’s and .85’s with her lease horse Why Not and they placed 4th in the .80’s. This was Willa’s first horse show at WEC Ocala!
✨Katie piloted around her show lease horse Decadence in the .80’s and .85’s for her first show competing with GKF! Katie and Decadence placed 4th in the .85 classic! Thank you Martin Klein Training Stables for the show lease of Decadence. He was a joy to have!
✨Presley piloted around her show lease Jelly Roll in the short stirrup ring for her first A show and got a 2nd in one of her classes! Thank you to Marketmoor, LLC and Don Stewart Stables for letting us borrow Jelly Roll for the week in Ocala!
✨Addy piloted around her horse Empress in the 14 and Under 3’ NAL/WIHS Children’s Hunter Classic and finished 7th out of all the competition!
✨Scarlett piloted around her lease pony With Strawberries and Cream in the Low Children’s Pony 2’ division and finished out the weekend with Reserve Champion!
The Humes trifecta
✨Hayden competed in her first WEC 2’6 Non-pro Derby with her mount Avonduur. The pair finished the first round in the top 3 and then after a bum rail in their handy, placed 11th after it was all said and done. Go Haydo!
✨Sutton showed his lease pony Show Me The Money in Walk Trot Ground Rails and they came to take home some ribbons! The pair earned themselves a 2nd, two 4ths and 2 6ths.
✨Tahl competed in her first ever horse show on her horse Encanto in the Walk Trot Ground Rails! This pair really showed off and took home plenty of ribbons themselves, receiving a 1st, a 3rd and 3 5ths!
So proud of the Gait Keeper Farm team! Everyone’s work has been paying off and is really showing in their show results. Can’t wait to see what GKF accomplishes at the next show

A fun and fabulous 2 weeks at WEC! Covid can't stop us having fun with our horses! What a wonderful group of clients we have at GKF.
Congratulations to Courtney Mann and her debut with 5 year old King Boy at his first show. Brooke Borders on Why Not in the 3' Adults.
Erin Smith on Koscow Concerto, Mia Williams on Fergalicious, Christian Burnett on A Summer Place all participated in the jumper ring.
Sinclair McDonald on Party Favor and Sofia Fagen on DGS Indivisible debuted in their first AA show.
Jenny Martin on Pop Rox and Nancy Quinlisk on Starry Night had awesome trips in their divisions.
All of these horses and riders had wonderful ribbons in all of their divisions and I am so proud of all of their dedication and love of the horse. What an amazing 2 weeks.

Thank you Emily Duncan and her dad Jeff Duncan for making some awesome jump fill for the farm. They are perfect and in the barn colors!
I believe you may have a future in building jumps.

Gait Keeper Farm kicked off 2019 at the World Equestrian Center!
This was the first ‘A’ show for Elizabeth Johnson and her first show at 2’6” with “Pop Rocks”. They had great trips and ribboned in some large competitive classes.
This was Jennifer Martin’s first show with GKF’s “Ezra” and they finished the week with a 5th place finish in the competitive Novice Jumper Classic class.
Mia Williams and her Fergalicious “Fergie” had a fantastic week in the Novice Jumpers with many clear trips and only one rail down the entire week.
Meadow Rossi and her Hereeras Tiara “Tia” made their rated jumper debut and had some great rounds, earning a 5th place in a large Intermediate Jumper class.
Meadow also showed GKF’s Miss Demeanor “Demi” in the Baby Green Hunters and Demi made her Large Green Pony Hunter debut. Demi and Meadow won a class of the Baby Green Hunters and the Green Pony Classic.
Brooke Borders piloted GKF Truly “Bug” through her first rated horse show in the Baby Green hunters and had some wonderful rounds for Bug’s second horse show ever.
Lindsey Cheek showed Right Hand Man “Hamilton” in his first rated showing in the Hunters. They were Champion of the Baby Green Hunter division and ribboned in a competitive 2’6” adult hunter division.
GKF is so proud of our girls and their partners for their hard work this week and cannot wait for the rest of the show year!
