On Friday December 17th at high noon Our Airforce Fighting Falcons have a home match against Oklahoma State Cowboys & the GOAT John Smith. Let’s sell out the “Gunfight at Clune”. For those of you that don’t know, Airforce Wrestles in the Big 12, the second best wrestling Conference in the country. The Big 10 is the best but this is NCAA D1 Wrestling in our own backyard & USAFA vs OSU is “must see”. OSU has more national titles than any team in any sport in NCAA D1 history. John Smith is a 2 time Olympic gold medalist with 6 world titles & that is why he is the GOAT. Watch John Smith’s low leg on UTube. Heck, watch any of his videos. Airforce has a great team this year. They will have multiple NCAA qualifiers (among 32 best in their weight class in the country) & their heavyweight “GROOT” (when you see him you will know why) is a returning NCAA qualifier & is worth the price of admission all by himself. This message is going out to every coach, teacher, team & wrestling family in the area if not the front range. If I could, I’d put it in front of anyone who can help us do something historic. Let’s sell out Clune Arena for this match & set the all time attendance record! Why should basketball have it? Let’s let the state of Oklahoma & Oklahoma State know that wrestling exists in the state of Colorado! Together we can do it, I know we can. Spread the word. Took some time to reflect on the past week. Took some hard loses but had some great wins durning the week. All the kids that competed showed up and we had a great event!! Best part of the week was watching our college athletes coaching and getting these young men pumped and ready to scrap. Our U17 Greco team took 5th place!
