Wow second week in February finally no dirt in the trail.

Well here it is the end of snowmobiling in Michigan and summer is close by.
Snow was good this year but not great in Northern Mi. Riding your sled takes a toll
on the moving parts. Inspection of the vital mechanics is necessary for safe riding
and longevity of your snowmobile. Track rubber, track clips, suspension slides all
need to be verified for good working condition. Precision Motorsports and Marine
Ga***rd can help with the necessary parts and labor. Drive clutch should be removed
from the crankshaft and disassembled blown out of the clutch dust that can damage
the rollers, arms and bushings. Driven clutch should be removed for inspection of
the ramp shoes and or rollers. Belt needs to be replaced every year on bigger HP
models. You can look between the ribs on your belt and see any cracking going on
the belt is only good for a spare. Chain case oil l***s the chain and gears in the
chain case and needs to be changed at the end of the snow season to remove the
moisture inside. Small amount of oil has to to a difficult job of lubing the gears
and chain. Don't forget the grease and tie rod end l**e. Precision Motorsports and
Marine Ga***rd can service you snowmobile with precision care. Most fuel systems
today are fuel injected and don't really need too much protection, however draining
down the tank and adding some fuel protection will help. Carburetor units need a little
extra care to make sure the fuel system preforms next season. At Precision Motor
Sports and Marine we will drain the gas out of the gas tank and fuel lines then pull
the bowl nuts and or drain screws and blow out the fuel from the gas tank, fuel lines,
fuel pump and carburetor bowls so no corrosion can settle in. Inspection of the skis,
ski skins and carbides is a good check for next year. Tie rod ends should be l**ed.
We use motorcycle chain l**e. This chin l**e penetrates wet and tacks up to prevent
rust and corrosion. If all this is too much for you skill level Precision Motor Sports
and Marine Ga***rd can do this very nicely.

Need engine repair or transmission repair or parts? Precision Motor Sports and
Marine has pistons, rings, crankshafts, bearings, seals, gears, chains, valves, springs,
and gaskets for all the engine and transmission repairs.

Precision Motor Sports and Marine also has a machine shop to service all of your
engine machining needs like boring cylinders and crankshaft rebuilding. Welding
services too.

Precision Motor Sports and Marine has indoor storage for your snowmobile, we can
service your sled and pull the battery and put the sled on a cement flour and rack
system. The battery then goes into the battery room for battery maintenance and
charging. Correct charging of the battery will extend it's life and keeping the acid
level correct is a must.

Precision Motor Sports and Marine has outside storage for your trailer and or boat.
Fenced in privacy and camera protection.

Okay people who can use a sewing machine? Government just said people should be wearing homemade masks not the n95 mask that are nurses and doctors need so drastically. Breath drops or sneezing droplets or coughing droplets spread like crazy. You may not carry symptoms of covid 19 but you can spread it. So people wear the mask. Help this country and its people, do it.

Lots of ice and some rain. Not much snow fell. Maybe 1 inch?...They got it wrong again. Radar shows storm going east.

Well nature has done it again. Rain and warm. Wet and slippery. Hoping for the big snow this Saturday to help snowmobiling.

Hello. I would like to share the snow conditions up here right now. We had snow and the rain came down in buckets all day Sunday. The cold weather came in on Monday and hardened up the trail and surrounding grounds. Little snow has fallen here but elsewhere the TV news said up to a foot of powder has fallen. Not the best for newer sleds but older ones could ride without to much dsmage. No grooming in the Frederic area yet. Be carefull if you ride. Come in and see us. Enjoy.

Well summer is on it's way out and the time has come to think about putting your Jet Ski, Jet boat, Pontoon or Speed boat away for season. Proper winter storage is a must to protect your investment of fun. At Precision Motorsports and Marine Ga***rd area, they take the time to prep it properly. Special attention to the fuel system helps make the fire up next year easier. Engines and drive systems need oil and filter service, grease and pivot l**e protects moving parts from rusting. The battery needs attention as well, we you bring your watercraft to Precision Motorsports and Marine for storage, wintering we will take the battery out and service it for the winter. We have a battery room just for keeping our customers batteries fully charged and checked. The cooling system on most watercraft and boats uses lake water for cooling the engine. Water will freeze and crack your engine if not protected properly or drained. Precision Motorsports and Marine will do that properly. The propeller should be removed and the splines should be checked for fishing line rapped around the shaft and gear oil seal. Lights, bulbs and other electrical systems can be repaired and or replaced, at Precision Motorsports and Marine they are electrical specialist too. No place to put your toy? Precision Motorsports and Marine can shrink rap boats, jet ski's, jet boats, pontoon boats and place it out side in there fenced in storage lot for safe keeping. Great rates too.

So the season is moving on to Hunters and gatherers. ATV users may need to have some service for there work toy. At Precision Motorsports and Marine Ga***rd area they will look over your ATV and give it the best service for your needs. Tires and wheels need to be inspected along with oil and filter changes. Air filters and fuel system should be serviced to keep your ATV starting and running well. Batteries, lights and other electrical switches need to be checked over to ensure a safe and fun experience. At Precision Motorsports and Marine they have tires, tubes, valve stems, and other suspension parts too.

Snow season is coming. Snowmobiles will soon be hitting the cold air and white powder on the ground. At Precision Motorsports and Marine Ga***rd they have indoor rack storage for your sled. Snow machines need lots of service too. With the snow mobile tracks hitting the ground sometimes on dirt and pavement they tend to wear out. Wheels and bearing take the toll too. Suspension shocks, and pivots get worn and with today's newer snowmobiles most don't have any or very few grease fittings for lubing. Shocks take a beating with the new hi travel suspensions. Precision Motorsports and Marine can rebuild and re-valve most of your shock needs. Engines today make lots of horse power. Pistons and crankshafts sometimes give up and at Precision Motorsports and Marine they have an in house machine shop for crankshaft rebuilding along with two boring machines for resizing your cylinder. You have a bit older sled that needs parts, Precision Motorsports and Marine has lots of older engine parts, clutch parts, suspension parts, carbs, ignitions, coils and more. Give them a call with your needs. 989-731-5050

Snow season is ending in Northern Michigan and it is time to put Snowmobiles away.
The snow this year was plentiful and the trail system was very good. Most snowmobiles and sled
riders didn't get a beating, so it's time to put your snowmobile away properly. Precision Motor Sports
Ga***rd, Grayling, offers repairs and storage service along with indoor rack storage. Storing your
snowmobile inside a cool dry area will help keep the sled from deteriorating. Precision Motor Sports
can change the gear case oil and inspect the chain and gears for wear, refill with fresh oil and adjust
the chain. Most snowmobiles have grease-able pivots with a zerks and should be filled with grease
to push out water and protect the bushing from wear and corrosion. Four stroke engines need
attention too. Engine oil and filter needs to be changed before storing the snowmobile. Condensation
and combustion contaminates are present in the oil and can damage metal internal crankshaft, pistons
valves and other expensive components. Two stroke engines need a special fogger oil sprayed in the
air intake with the engine running to neutralize the combustion acid that will damage the metal
expensive internal engine parts. Just spraying oil in the spark-plug hole is better than not doing
but the anti-acid neutralizer fogger won't get to the critical crankshaft bearing and could cause rust
and premature crank failure. Fuel today is very short lived and attracts moisture from the gas tank
vent system. Precision Motor Sports Ga***rd area will protect your fuel system properly so you
can get the best life from your fuel lines, fuel pump, carburetors and fuel injectors. Clutches play
a huge part of the drive system and should be inspected for cracks, wear of the rollers and spring.
Drive clutch belts crack between the cog webs and should be replaced with new belts before ridding
the next year, this is very important because when a drive belt blows it almost always shreds fibers
through-out the snowmobile which can get into and on places that over time will cost you money.
So replace that belt every year. Skis and carbides really take a toll on today’s modern snowmobiles.
Sleds are bigger than ever and have a lot of wight on the skis. Plastic skis glide through the wet
snow better and allow the front suspension to float up and down easier with less resistance.
Carbides get worn with the crossing of roads and ridding the shoulder of the roads too. Check the
carbides and replace before the ski gets worn to the point were you can't install new runners.
Precision Motor Sports, Ga***rd has a good selection of carbides for sale. Front and rear suspension
have shock-absorbers to take spring oscillations and give the rider a smoother and more comfortable
ride. Precision Motor Sports has been rebuilding and replacing shocks for a long time. Removing
the rear suspension from your snowmobile is not a easy job without special tools and know how.
Precision Motor Sports Gaylod has the special tools and expertise to handle that job too. Wheel
bearing and boogie wheels need to be looked at for ruff bearings and wheel rubber condition.
Hyfax and sometimes called slides should be checked for depth to make sure you don't run to thin
and damage the expensive slide rails. Batteries for you snowmobiles electric starter need to be
maintained for the storage period. We recommend installing a battery tender so you don't have to
worry about the charge rate. At Precision Motor Sports when they store your snowmobile the battery
is removed and set in an indoor battery room and maintained during the storage period. Brakes on
your snowmobile need attention too. Brake fluid is on of the most forgotten about services anymore.
The brake fluid needs to be replaced every 3-5 years. Brake fluid gets old and causes corrosion and
damages the interior parts causing the brakes to hang up and get hot. We have seen brakes so hot
that the snowmobile caught on fire. Best not to have that. Bottom line sleds need maintenance.
Call Precision Motor Sports and schedule your snowmobile to get the best care. You can also see

April snow.... Trails closed.

Wow the rain and warmer weather really hurt the trail system. Off trail looks good still.

Photos from Precision Motor Sports & Marine's post 03/12/2019

Rethink your plans if you plan on snowmobiling the rest of this week or weekend. Warm 42 degrees today with lot of sun. Water everywhere. Warm and rain tomorrow and Thursday. Thursday's high might hit 60. No real snow in the forecast but cooler temps on the way. Still no good for trails. Off trail will still be great.

Well snow fell again yesterday and is still coming down. Not much rain. Storm looks to be here all day. Should be good snowmobiling this week. Get out and ride.

Just looked out my window... snow. Get riding while you can. Going to warm a little this weekend. Ride. Play. Spring is coming. Remember trails close at the end of March.
