This week we welcome Brayden Mitchell to the Spotlight.
Brayden is a 6’1”, 245-pound Center and Defensive Tackle out of Walkersville High School, set to graduate with the Class of 2028. A varsity starter, Brayden has earned 1st Team All-County and 1st Team All-Region honors — a testament to the work he puts in day in and day out.
He’s been training with Hawg Performance for over six years and has spent the last year dialing in his strength with Breen Strength. On top of football, Brayden has played baseball for nine years, proving he’s not just an athlete — he’s a competitor across the board.
When asked what advice he’d give to younger athletes, Brayden keeps it simple: “Start early.”
We’re proud to have been part of his journey and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for him in 2025 and beyond. Keep putting in the work, Brayden.

The realism. The resistance. The build. Everything about this sled translates directly to the field, and that’s exactly the standard we hold our equipment to at Hawg.

We recently had the pleasure of receiving the “Rae Crowther 2-Man Rage Football Blocking Sled” — and it has not disappointed.
From the moment our coaches and athletes got their hands on it, the feedback has been nothing but positive. The build quality is elite, and the resistance and feel of the sled closely mirrors real in-game blocking situations — exactly what we want when we’re developing our guys.
At Hawg Performance, we’re always looking for equipment that matches the standard we hold our athletes to. The Rae Crowther sled does exactly that.
A huge thank you to for sending this our way. We’re grateful for the partnership and excited to put it to work for every athlete that comes through our program.
This week we welcome Connor Day to the Spotlight.
Connor is a freshman at Linganore High School where he plays center and LG on the JV Football squad. He has been training at Hawg Performance for more than 240 weeks and has since become a member of Breen Strength as well.
Connor came in with a clear goal: get better at his sport. Through consistent work, he has developed into a more explosive, quicker, and agile athlete with improved footwork and overall movement on the field. That growth paid off, earning him a starting spot his freshman year. Connor also talked about what makes Shannon stand out to him. Not just as a coach, but as someone who genuinely gets to know his athletes and shows up for them beyond the weight room.
To other young aspiring athletes, Connor’s message is simple. Keep your head up, keep grinding, and trust that better days are ahead.
