Urbana Riding Club will be CLOSED Friday, October 15th for our driveway entrance repair! Boarders and leasers, please reschedule your rides and appointments accordingly. We will reopen to clients on Saturday Oct. 16th at 9am. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

P.S. This years Halloween show will be on Sunday Oct. 24th starting at Noon! Rain date, Sunday Oct. 31st. Casual and fun! Costume parade will start around 3 pm. Hope to see you there! :)

Covid-19 Update 4/6/2020

Hello URC Family,

We are still unable to reopen our regular lesson program until Maryland lifts the shelter in place mandate and allows non-essential businesses to resume operations. At this time, our Governor has not set a date to lift these restrictions. We look forward to resuming actives as soon as possible. Please stay tuned for updates. We miss you all so much.

In an effort to help slow the continued spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect our barn family, we have made the decision to close our barn to the public until April 6th. No one is permitted on our property without prior permission from Sandy or Jessie.

During this time:
1. Only horse owners/boarder clients are permitted to visit the barn to care for their horses - we look forward to seeing everyone else very soon!

2. Lease and Practice Rides are not permitted, but the credit will be extended

3. Riders and families should not come to the barn 😞 If there is something you need from a locker or trunk, let us know.

4. Anyone coming to URC for any reason accepts responsibility for their health safety before, during & after visiting the barn.

5. All other terms and conditions expressed in the previous communication dated Friday, March 13th still apply.

For boarders, Please:
1. Text one of us to let us know when you are coming
2. Make an effort to limit your time at the barn
3. Sanitize everything you touch! Including- Your horses stall gate/lock, pitchforks, the saddle rack & clips in the wash stalls, arena gates, bathroom/lounge doors, etc. (We have cleaning supplies outside of the bathroom for your use.)
4. Maintain social distancing when interacting with fellow boarders or staff

Seriously....when have people EVER gotten within six feet of us?

Effective today, we are pausing Group Riding Lessons until Sunday, March 29th, at which time we will re-evaluate the overall situation, generally abiding by the recommendations of the CDC, local and federal government agencies. Multiple advisories now recommend limiting congregations to less than 10 persons.

During this time, and as long as it is safe and permissible:

1. Lease practice rides are permitted.
2. Riders in Intermediate "A" or above lessons who would like to do a Practice Ride in lieu of their canceled lesson, please contact Jessie to discuss possible arrangements.
3. Riders and families must limit all person-to-person contact, ride individually or very small groups no larger than five.
4. Riders accept responsibility for personal hygiene before during and after riding and visiting the barn.
5. All terms and conditions expressed in the previous communication dated Friday, March 13th still apply.

Please note: no additional persons are authorized to come onto the URC property except boarders, riders, parents or guardians.
