Week 3 of Fall Ball would feature 1 game for 14U and a doubleheader for 12U.

🟡 Glass City Vipers vs 12U Yellow Devils — Diamond #3 10AM

Glass City Vipers jumped on top with 1 in the top of the 1st. Yellow Devils answered back with 1 in the bottom of the 2nd. Gavin Ge**er walked, Colton McKeen doubled. Ge**er would come home on a single by Jacoby Gangwer.

Glass city responded with 1 in the top of the 3rd to take a 2-1 lead. Vipers would sink the venom in the top of the 4th with 6 runs, followed by one in the top of the 5th for a 9-1 victory.

🟡 River Dogs vs 14U Yellow Devils — Diamond #1 12PM

River Dogs scored 2 in the top of the 1st. Terrelle Finley got the Yellow Devils on the board with a single, 2 sb's, then came home on a passed ball.

River Dogs had the bases loaded in the top of the 2nd with 1 out and 1 crossing the plate already. T. Finley ended the threat in relief. River Dogs 3 - Yellow Devils 1.

In the bottom of the 2nd. Colton McKeen reached base on a dropped 3rd strike. Stole 2nd and then advanced to 3rd. Aiden Ochoa knocked McKeen in with a single. Noah Focht was hit by a pitch. Jeremiah Finley singled to load the bases. Jake Pickard singled to score Ochoa and Focht. T. Finley doubled home Pickard. Noam Faist followed with a RBI groundout to score T. Finley. Yellow Devils 6 - River Dogs 3.

In the bottom of the 4th, Ochoa doubled then advanced to third. Focht had a RBI groundout to plate Ochoa. J. Finley singled, stoled 2nd, advanced to 3rd and home on passed balls. River Dogs added 1 in the top of the 5th.

🟡 12U Yellow Devils vs Glass City Vipers — Diamond #3 12PM

Vipers scored 2 in the bottom of the 1st.
In the top of the 2nd, Mack Burns, Gavin Ge**er, and Jacoby Gangwer would walk the bases loaded. Cody Pollard followed the trend, walking, and scoring Burns. Ryker Busack would walk to score Ge**er. Gangwer scored on a wild pitch to take a 3-2 lead.

Glass City would tie it up in the bottom of the 2nd.

Burns answered with a walk in the top of the 3rd then stole 2nd. Ge**er doubled home Burns. Ge**er would steal 3rd, then scored on a Gangwer single. Yellow Devils 5 - Vipers 3.

Vipers would plate 4 in the bottom of the 3rd then add on 4 more in bottom of the 4th.

Week 2 Fall Ball featured both teams playing doubleheaders finishing off game 2's at 12pm.

🟡 12U Yellow Devils vs Maumee Warriors — Diamond #3

Yellow Devils jumped out early. Cody Pollard walked, stole 2 bases and scored on a wild pitch. Ryker Busack and Travis Johnson would follow suit the same way scoring. Blake Covert walked and stole 2 bases. Ayden Clark walked and stole a base. Lincoln Gardner singled to score both Covert and Clark to end the scoring at 5.

Warriors would put 2 on the board to end the 1st 5-2.

In the top of the 3rd. Pollard walked, stole 2 bases and would plate on a dropped 3rd strike. Covert singled and stole 2 bases. Clark walked. Jaycob Eisenhauer would single to score Covert and Clark. Eisenhauer would steal a base then score on a wild pitch. Gardner walked, stole a base and came home on a passed ball. Mack Burns walked and then was drove in on a Gavin Ge**er triple ending the inning up 11-2.

In the top of the 4th. Colton McKeen and Jacoby Gangwer both walked, stole 2 bases and scored on passed balls. Noah Kralovic walked and stole a base. Busack walked. Travis Johnson singled scoring Kralovic. Covert walked. Busack, Johnson, and Covert would all come home on passed balls.

🟡 14U Yellow Devils vs Yard Dogs — Diamond #1

Yard Dogs jumped on top 6-0 in the top of the 1st. They tacked on 3 more in the top of the 2nd to take a 9-0 lead.
3rd inning was quiet then the Yard Dogs struck again with 6 in the top of the 4th to take a commanding 15-0 lead.

Final: Yard Dogs 15, Yellow Devils 0

Week 2 Fall Ball featured both teams playing doubleheaders kicking off game 1's at 10am. Pitching was the common denominator for success.

🟡 14U Yellow Devils vs Force Ohio — Diamond #1

Force jumped out to a 3 run lead in the 1st and tacked on another 1 in the top of the 2nd.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Jeremiah Finley reached base on an error then made them pay. He stole 2nd and 3rd then advanced home on a wild pitch to put the Yellow Devils on the board. Jake Binder and Jake Pickard followed with singles. Terrelle Finley singled to score Binder. Noam Faist followed with a single that would plate Pickard and T.Finley to tie the game up at 4.

Force dumped 5 on in the top of the 3rd. Binder lead a 5-3 double play to get out of a bases loaded jam.

Yellow Devils answered with 3 of their own. Aiden Ochoa singled, followed by a J. Finley single. Binder singled to score Ochoa. T. Finley then singled to score J. Finley and Binder and make it a 9-7 game.

Force would score 5 more in the top of the 4th to take a 14-7 lead. Ian Davis doubled in the bottom of the 4th. He stole 3rd then scored on a passed ball.

Final: Force Ohio 14, Yellow Devils 8

🟡 12U Yellow Devils vs Maumee Warriors — Diamond #3

Cody Pollard walked then stole 2nd and 3rd. He would come home on a Travis Johnson single. Johnson stole 2nd and 3rd, and would come home on a passed ball. Jaycob Eisenhauer singled to score Blake Covert. Ayden Clark scored on a wild pitch. Eisenhauer stole 2nd and 3rd. Lincoln Gardner singled to score Eisenhauer. Gardner stole 2nd and 3rd, then came home on a passed ball to take a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Mack Burns walked. Stole 2nd and 3rd and scored on a wild pitch. Gavin Ge**er scored on a passed ball. Pollard and Ryker Busack would walk and both came home on errors to take a 10-0 lead.

Maumee would answer with 4 in the top of the 3rd and 2 in the top of the 4th to cut the lead to 10-6. Yellow Devils would slam the door shut. Travis Johnson finished with 4 Ks and Gavin Ge**er finished with 3 Ks.

Final: Yellow Devils 10, Maumee Warriors 6

Come out TODAY, August 30th, and again on September 13th for the Fremont Yellow Devils Fall Baseball Car Wash!

💰 DONATIONS ONLY — ALL DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TOWARD PLAYER FEES which cover league and umpiring costs.

Your support helps send 26 kids to Maumee every Saturday through October 31st! Both Yellow Devils teams are heading into Week 3 next Saturday with a combined record of 3-3! ⚾

Come meet your local players who are representing Fremont in the Fall Baseball League in Maumee and help support their season!

Mother nature is being tricky today, we are still a go with the broad time frame. We could have a rain delay but just like the game of baseball; perseverance, hard work, and positive attitudes pay off!

All donated equipment will be collected and redistributed to local players next summer before the recreation season begins.
