Hey, I wanted to say thank you for the trail maintenance this year. A group of us from Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs ran the trail Sept 6-11, 2019 and had a great time. We saw one group of UTV early the first day that turned back on Thompson Hill and then not another sole the next three days. We drove about 10 miles a day and camped. We stayed two nights at Ershim Lake. The trail was difficult and the vault toilets were clean. You guys do an awesome job.

Tonight's meeting is at Yosemite Falls Cafe on Cedar btwn Ashlan & Dakota...

Head for the Hills 2022 announcement:

Due to a perfect storm of unforeseen life circumstances for the majority of key members who put together the amazing backbone of the Head 4 The Hills Poker Run, we are being forced to postpone this year's run. The club feels it is best to postpone the run rather than to piece something together that doesn't meet the quality standards we expect to provide the customers of this event. We still intend on maintaining the trail and having it ready for use by May for everyone to enjoy for the season. I realize that a lot of you look forward to this run every year and we apologize for the inconvenience.

We kindly ask that you keep our members in prayer at this time as some of them are still battling and are in the middle of these unforeseen life circumstances.

GOOD NEWS!!! Our normal venue is still open... Yosemite Falls 4020 N Cedar (Granite Parkk)

Standby... The Yosemite Falls that closed poss not the one we meet at but the one @ Ashlan/99... Will update tomorrow..

FYI.... Yosemite Falls closed on Thurs... Our meeting will be at Denny's 1110 E Shaw... It's just easy of First on the north side of the street!!! Also it's the Club's birthday this month!!!

We would like to thank GSI Outdoors for their continued support of our club and our mission. This year, GSI stepped up and donated a Selkirk 540 Camp Stove for the Head 4 The Hills Raffle. Make sure you support the companies who support our sport and outdoor recreation. GSI Outdoors has a lot of your outdoor recreation needs covered.

Sierra Trek canceled

Red Lake, Coyote, West, & Strawberry are now open!

Another great local run we look forward to every year has been canceled. We are sad that Moonlight Madness is canceled this year and are looking forward to next year and being able to go on all of the great 4x4 runs again. But we do have more things coming up at the end of the year to still look forward to. Keep an eye on our page for more updates.

We regret to publicly informed everyone that unfortunately Moonlight Madness is now officially CANCELLED. Over the past 36 years, the club has had to overcome many setbacks and obstacles along the way. We've pushed the date a couple times due to severe winters. We've had to adhere to more strict regulations from the Forest Service, but we have ALWAYS overcome all these. We wanted to make this year's "MOONLIGHT MADNESS CORONA CRAWL 2020" and have it FREE to attend. We still would be required to submit a permit and operational plan to the SNF. In addition, we would be required to follow a strict list of COVID-19 precautions. After accessing the entire process and added requirements, the club membership voted to cancel this year's run. Everyone's health and safety is the upmost importance to us, far more than a poker run. Our club is blessed with a family style membership of friends who love Moonlight Madness, so this was NOT an easy decision to make. We'll be up at Base Camp as a club and individuals enjoying the Sierra National Forest. Please enjoy the trails responsibly, take care of each other and be good stewards of the trails. Take care all and have a wonderful summer full of wheeling!!

Hello Everyone,

Our club just got done meeting virtually last night and had to make a difficult discussion about the 9th Annual Head 4 The Hills event. Given the current events of COVID-19, we would not be able to have the event in May as planned. After a lengthy discussion, it also appeared as though we wouldn't be able to push this event back to an appropriate date and be able to meet the requirements we have of maintaining trails on the Sierra National Forest with the opening schedule. The Four Wheel Drive Club of Fresno has always been about the trails first and we hope that you can understand that with this difficult decision we had to make. That being said, we have decided to postpone the 9th Annual Head 4 the Hills event until May 14-16, 2021.

We are talking about other event options other than the poker run later this year to support our trails and honor our commitments to our donors who were able to give this year to our cause. Please keep an eye on our page for more details.

We look forward to hopefully seeing you next year at the new date and please stay safe an healthy through these hard times. We wish your families the best and thank you for your support.
