I just wanted to share how amazing this week has been. Thank you for letting me take photos of your kiddos. Its been an amazing experience watching them and photographing them over the years.

CHSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in SE Houston. Our volleyball home court and practice location is at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena.

We are a parent-run, family-oriented organization that has served the competitive athletic needs of home schooled students in the Houston area since 1994 and offer basketball and volleyball. We have players from Houston, Pearland, Friendswood, Clear Lake, Alvin, Manvel, League City, Deer Park, Pasadena, and more! Our basketball home games take place at Living Stones Christian School Gym#2 in Alvin

, TX, with practices held at various locations in the Friendswood/Clear Lake area. All of our teams compete against public, private and other home school organizations in the Houston Metro area and attend regional, state and national tournaments. We also offer the following:
-Christian environment with player-led devotions at practices
-Homecoming for alumni and players
-End of season sports awards banquets
-Team memorabilia for league families

Our programs include: (age as of September 1st)

Basketball:
Boys and Girls Varsity (18 & under)
Boys and Girls Jr. Varsity (16 & under)
Boys and Girls Jr. High (14 & under, 12 & under)
Boys (Ages 8 - 10)
Girls (Ages 8 - 10)

Volleyball:
Girls Varsity (18 & under)
Girls Jr. Varsity (16 & under)
Girls Jr. High (14 & under)
Girls Developmental (ages 7 & up)

Golf:
NOTE: **No competitive golf for 2021-2022**
Competitive High School and Junior High teams (ages 11-18)
Developmental/Family (ages 7-18)

STATEMENT OF FAITH
- We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God, complete in revealing the triune Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son, that He indwells, seals, and fills us with His power for the work of His service for God’s glory.
- We believe man was created in God’s image, but because of the fall he became spiritually dead and in need of salvation from the penalty and power of sin.
- We believe in the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ as perfectly divine and perfectly human. We believe that His substitutionary death and the shedding of His blood on the cross was for our redemption. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His imminent return, and the resurrection of His people.
- We believe that the gift of eternal life is available to all men, that those who receive Christ by faith are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God. Eligibility Summary:
* Homeschool Athlete – Student’s education is parent-directed
- Parents set graduation date and requirements
- Parents select course materials, schedules, tutors, videos, online courses, etc.
* 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
* Must be 18 or younger on Aug. 31 of the current school year
* Must not have participated in a high school graduation ceremony
Outside Institutions
- Full-time enrollment in a traditional public, private, charter, university-model, or vocational schools renders the player ineligible
- Part-time enrollment in traditional public, private, charter, university-model, or vocational schools is allowed, if the student receives at least 51% of his/her education from classes that meet the homeschooling definition (calculated by number of classes)
- Co-ops are permitted
- They are characterized by significant and direct parent involvement
- Group of like-minded families
- Dual Credit is allowed
- Freshman-Juniors – must also take at least 3 high school classes
- Seniors – must also take at least 2 high school classes
- High school classes can include electives (Bible/PE) and/or taken through co-ops or other means
* There are additional eligibility guidelines that do not apply to most homeschool athletes and can be reviewed on the National Christian HomeSchool Championship (NCHC) website

Our CHSA Girls Varsity team played in the Eagle Holiday Classic Tournament at Fort Bend Christian Academy this weekend. What an exciting couple days for these girls! Thanks to some great ball handling and excellent passing by her teammates….#54, Julia Patton, made a thrilling “buzzer beater” 3 point shot to win the game!!! 🎉

Start going through your closets! Bring pairs of gently used shoes to any practice location starting this Saturday through Oct 31st. We have a hefty goal of 700 pairs so ask your family, neighbors, youth/bible groups to donate as well. Lets do this CHSA!!!!

We have partnered with to complete this project. All shoes are sent to micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations to bring financial independence and support to their families and shoe their communities.

BOYS SUMMER BASKETBALL PRACTICE!
All boys summer practice will be July 30, August 6 and August 13.

Practices will be held at the South Main Baptist Church- 4300 E Sam Houston Pkwy S, Pasadena.

10U, 12U, and 14 U will practice from 1 to 3.

JV and Varsity boys will practice from 3 to 5.

Players must arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of practice to be court ready for their practice time.

Bring a ball, water, basketball shoes, a friend and $5 per player!

Boys mandatory player evaluations will be August 20 at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena.

1-3 for 10U, 12U, and 14U
