When you slow down, you feel.
When you feel, you heal.
When you heal, you grow.
Sometimes slowing down is the most productive thing you can do.

What's really at the end of a rainbow? A pot of gold? What is this pot of gold?
A pot of gold for me is a smile from a loved one. A warm embrace from my kids. An evening laughing with friends. Sitting in silence listening to my own breath. The stability of the Earth.
May you find blessings in your daily pot of gold.

Our world is at odds with each other and my heart hurts. I believe in humankind and the goodness in others. I continue to think this rock we reside upon is inherently good and the vast majority of people living here are good people.
I take today as a reminder of the beauty we have around us. The sun, the sky, the air, the Earth, and ask myself - how can I do better?

The other day, I found myself annoyed by a stack of dirty dishes. I stared at our counter and sink overflowing with, what felt like, every single dish in our home. The tears started - fatigue, frustration, exhaustion. I knew there needed to be a better way of dealing with the dishes. I paused and reminded myself that dirty dishes means we have food to eat. Food to nourish our bodies and our souls. Food to fill our bellies. Food that stops the grumbles. Food that brings smiles and memories. I did those dishes smiling and thankful.
When we live a life full of gratitude, we find our path and honor those around us. I work daily to find gratitude.
How did you find gratitude today?

Taking today to honor the women in my life. Knowing so many wonderful women has allowed me to grow into my own womanhood and I love the woman I have become.

What sparks your curiosity? How do you stay curious in your life? I've found that my yoga practice deepens when I stay rooted in Self and curious in my space. My teacher taught me to always ask the question, "are there any other possibilities that exist?" I use this to guide me further into curiosity and to feed the parts of me that require this gentle nourishment.

Today marks the first day of the fall equinox, the sun goes to sleep and the moon rises in the sky a bit earlier during this time. It is a time for rest, hibernation, and contemplation.
Today I will practice gratitude for the bright spots in the year and begin clearing space for new beginnings.
In the comments below, tell me what you will be doing to celebrate this time of the year.

So much of our lives are spent running around searching for the next best. What would happen if we slowed down? Took a moment to smell the flowers? Connected to ourselves in a way that can only bring us inner peace?
Today, I choose to sit quietly and reflect on the places I've been, where I'm at, and where I'm heading. It has been quite the journey and it has brought me to this exact space and I am full of gratitude.
Take a moment and tell me - where have you been, where are you at, and where are you heading?

Take a deep breath, smile, and be happy. This is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
I'd love to hear what made you smile today!
