Member highlight!âď¸ this is
1.    What first brought you to CrossFit, and how long have you been a member? I needed a competitive outlet, so when I started back in 2012, it was a way for me to continue testing myself daily.
    2.    What was your first workout likeâwhat did you think walking out that day? First workout was brutal. 7 rounds of 7 deadlifts (225), 7 hspu, 7 burpees. I died, but was really pleased with how it felt leaving!
    3.    Whatâs one goal youâve achieved since starting that youâre most proud of? Getting better at being uncomfortable and pushing through the dark caves some of these workouts put me in.
    4.    Whatâs a movement or workout you used to dread but now enjoy (or tolerate đ)? I used to dread bike or rope climb workouts.
    5.    What keeps you coming back on the days you donât feel like working out? Just knowing that if I donât continue really training Iâm not making myself any better.
    6.    How has CrossFit impacted your life outside the gym? I think it has helped tremendously. I feel confident that I can do most tasks that the average person would struggle with. It has allowed me to live a healthier lifestyle and teach my own kids that nothing comes easy without hard work.
    7.    Whatâs your favorite workout or type of WOD? Diane or Karen
    8.    Who in the gym motivates or inspires you the most? Iâd probably say Comptrain Steve because he Just has a no bu****it attitude and shows up on days others donât. Todd for his strength. Shelley for her enthusiasm. Krista for her partnership and continued gym support.
    9.    What would you say to someone whoâs nervous about trying CrossFit? Throw the feels aside and just go. The community is what makes this type of training worth it. You can scale workouts, know youâre in the top 1% of people in the world who actually train.
    10.    Fun one: If you could create your dream WOD, what would it include (or avoid)? My dream wod includes anything related to handstand push-ups or handstand walks, 400m running, and burpees.
      11.  Was a fun fact that no one knows about you? I played college basketball.
Just a week of nothing but fun (and some sweat and sore muscles) but mostly fun! Come and join us!

Come commit with us for 3 months this summer. You will meet people who instantly become your friend. Come join us! We will run a 7 AM open gym heat and a coach lead heat at 8:30 AM. Grab your friends and come work. There are scaling options and modifications to each of the movements available to meet every single person at their fitness level. You can do a quarter of the reps, half of the reps, or tackle the whole thing. We will have a special talk about why we do this workout at 8:30.
