Tour Managers are a huge reason SAWUSA trips feel local, not touristy. They’re with us the entire tour to help the delegation run smoothly:

• Stay in the same hotel
• Ride the bus with the group
• Handle logistics + timing
• Work with coaches to keep the schedule on track

Almud: works in the cultural field, mostly writing, sometimes photographing. I life in Vienna since 10 years now, grew up in a small town further south in Austria.

Anka: active and supportive- has worked with SAWUSA in the past

Meet your 2026 Argentina Experience Tour Manager: Catalina “Cata” Méndez Pessoa! 🇦🇷

Tour Managers are a huge part of what makes SAWUSA tours run smoothly — and what makes them feel local, not touristy.

Cata will be with our delegation for the full trip:

Staying in the same hotel
Riding the bus with the group
Helping manage daily logistics + timing
Working closely with our coaches to keep the schedule moving

Why we love Cata:Cata has served as a Tour Manager for SAWUSA teams in 2023 and 2024, and she’s hosted other sports teams in Argentina too. She’s a Physical Education teacher, coaches (and plays) hockey, and loves soccer — local and international. Most importantly: she’s always positive, efficient, and welcoming.

Luis is born and bred in Porto and now works with the Portuguese Football Federation, helping handle logistics for visiting international teams.

SAWUSA families  meet your Tour Managers for the Portugal Basketball Festival: Pedro Portas and Eva Ascencao. 

Tour Managers are one of the biggest reasons our tours run smoothly and feel local (not touristy). Theyre with us for the full trip and help the entire delegation by:

A quick expectation to set: Tour Managers are not personal assistants. Their role is to support the whole group so everyone has an amazing experience  please treat them with respect and kindness.

A little about them:
Pedro has supported multiple SAWUSA trips, speaks 5 languages, works in tourism and sports, and also serves as a Team Liaison Officer hosting teams that come to play against Portugal.

Eva has worked major international sports events (including WRC rallies across Europe) and works with the Portuguese Football Association as a team liaison officer and match manager.
