Recital weekend is getting closer and we are SO excited to see our dancers take the stage!

Reminder for recital day:
🩰 Dancers should arrive 45 minutes before their show time
💄 Please come with hair & makeup done
👗 Arrive in your first costume ready to go

Helping dancers arrive prepared keeps recital day running smoothly for everyone and gives our performers plenty of time to get settled backstage.

We can’t wait to celebrate an amazing weekend with all of our Studio Five families at Studio Five in Oz! 🌈

✨ Recital Day Reminder ✨

To help recital day run as smoothly as possible, please have dancers arrive in their FIRST costume with hair & makeup already done 💖

We also recommend bringing a labeled laundry basket/bin with:
• Costume changes
• Dance shoes
• Extra tights
• Labeled water bottle & snack
Reminder: snacks must be non-messy & nut-free!

“How long is Studio Five in Oz?” 👠🌈

Each recital show will run about 1 hour, plus bows & announcements at the end! Show length may vary slightly depending on transitions between dances, and there will be no intermission.

For 16 years, Reaghan has grown up inside the walls of Studio Five — from tiny recital shoes to senior solos.

This fall, she’ll attend the University of South Carolina Upstate Dance Team to major in Exercise Science while continuing her dance journey on their dance team. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary, her favorite themed recital was Toy Story, and through every season of dance, she’s reminded us what passion, kindness, and dedication looks like.

Her advice to younger dancers:
“Don’t take this time for granted — it goes by faster than you realize.”

The moms sitting in the parking lot during rehearsals answering emails and eating cold fries for dinner. The ones who have mastered the art of the quick-change bun, keep an emergency stash of bobby pins in every purse, and somehow can hear “Mom, where’s my…” from three rooms away. 😂

But truly… thank you.

Thank you for the countless hours spent driving to class, listening to recital songs on repeat, encouraging your kids after hard days, celebrating their growth, and helping them become confident, hardworking, kind humans.

Dance is about so much more than steps and routines. It’s friendships, discipline, courage, creativity, and finding a place where kids feel seen and loved — and none of that happens without you.

We see the sacrifices, the support, the patience, and the way you show up over and over again for your children. Even in the chaos, you’re building memories they’ll carry forever.

And one day, when the shoes are by the door for the last time and the music isn’t constantly playing in the kitchen, you’ll realize these were the good old days all along. ❤️
