Derby Officiating Milestone Announcement
Last weekend, O. Yoshi Dint of the Gainesville Roller Rebels officiated his 400th* game! We're granting him some wiggle room on exact numbers because his league wanted to recognize him with the pictured certificate and baked good, but he will be out of state for the actual 400th game. Congratulations, and thank you for all your years of hard work and dedication, O. Yoshi Dint!

The Brawl Stars took on River City Rat Pack! Final score 232-155. Great game !👏Huge congratulations to our MVPs for their incredible moves on the track!

Since joining the league in 2025, Shirley has mastered a variety of Non-Skating Official positions, officiating both home and away bouts. Between game days, Shirley also
successfully coordinated our Spring New Skater Program! Thanks to her organization and leadership, we were able to welcome many new faces to our league.

Coming Fall 2026. The City of Gainesville's Streatery project, on the corner of South Main Street and SW 1st Avenue, is being designed as a more walkable, flexible, and inviting Downtown space.

All businesses remain open, and sidewalks closest to storefronts are accessible during construction. Your continued patronage of these businesses is crucial.

The street will be a true pedestrian plaza, rebuilt without curbs to make it easier and safer to move through. New lighting will set the tone day to night, with the ability to shift for events, holidays, and everyday use. There will be more room to gather, dine, and host events, with built-in power and added seating.

Plans include preserving the existing live oak trees and reusing the historic Augusta brick already on site. Behind the scenes, upgrades to stormwater drainage, accessibility, and traffic flow will help the space work better for everyone.
