FYI, although *some* people rode the park on Tuesday, there are now guards preventing entry to the park. However, Saturday morning the park should be open!
Possum Creek Skatepark
Possum Creek Skatepark will be the first public concrete skatepark in Gainesville, FL.
Scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2010, it features a multi-level bowl, rails, ledges, hips and other challenging features for skateboards and bikes.

Construction is progressing nicely at Possum Creek. It won't be long now.
"The skate park at Possum Creek Park should be completed within the next few months. It will include both concrete bowls and streetscape features for skate boarders ranging from beginning enthusiasts to advanced individuals. When completed, Possum Creek Park will feature a skate park, dog park, nature and exercise trails, playground equipment, parking and restroom facilities."
