THE FIELD HAS BEEN EXPANDED! 🎯
We are excited to announce that 23 invited guests will be coming to Bocce Social in 2027 to compete alongside 5 of our very own Downstate NY players on our home courts!
We have some tremendous talent committed to playing in this tournament, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring this level of bocce to our community.
But for me, this tournament is about more than bocce.
It is about my father, Pietro Lisi.
My father came to this country as an immigrant and built his life through hard work, sacrifice, family and faith. He never forgot where he came from, while embracing the opportunities America gave him.
That is the spirit behind this tournament.
Faith. Family. Hard work. Friendship. Competition. And never forgetting where you came from.
I know this list will never be perfect in everyone’s mind. There are so many talented players who could be included, but an event like this simply cannot have everyone.
If you are not on the list, please don’t take anything away from the players who were invited. Celebrate these players, celebrate the competition, and celebrate what we are building together.
My goal is to make this event better every year and continue building something worthy of my father’s name and worthy of the incredible players who come to compete.
To all the players who have committed, the clubs, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who continues to support the growth of bocce — THANK YOU! 🙏
