There are friendships… and then there are the ones built in heavy water.

and I didn’t just become friends surfing Todos, we grew there. Through early mornings, long drives, missed waves, big wins, and a few moments where the ocean reminded us how small we really are. Todos has a way of testing you, and when you go through those tests with someone, it builds something deeper than just surf sessions. It builds trust.

Over the years, we’ve pushed each other, learned from each other, and slowly turned from two surfers chasing waves into a real team chasing progression, safety, and growth. Having someone in the lineup who understands your goals, your fears, and your drive… that’s rare.

Now watching Christian step into the Thrillers at Killers event hits different. I’ve seen the work when nobody was watching. The wipeouts. The doubts. The commitment. The love for this sport that keeps us paddling back out no matter what.

Proud is an understatement. Watching a brother chase his moment in waves like that is inspiring and reminds me why we do this in the first place.

This journey isn’t just about waves… it’s about the people who paddle beside you.

Let’s go, brother 🤝🌊

Talk about THEE slowest winter in WEST COAST history!! However, there's been some pretty fun windows of medium swell 7ft-9ft that has graced what I like to call home at the Isla Todos Santos

However, with these days it's allowed me time to work on certain things like equipment and over all riding performance.

I've been working on my bottom turns more and been wanting to draw better lines while having a solid standing foundation.

I've been working with and have been seeing and feeling a difference when surfing the "BIGGER" stuff. I want to be more fluid and methodical when push comes to shove.

You're never to old in trying to master a craft!!! Put in the reps eventually you'll get the reward 👊🏾💪🏾

I'm a true believer about education especially when it comes to water safety and having an understanding about water safety equipment.

When I was on podcast we dove into a conversation about PSI vest. I spoke about .w.r.a.g and how anyone that gets a PSI vest should undergo some sort of education screening to understand what you're getting into.

This season has started out really weird for me. A lot of head games and questioning!

What is the root of the questioning? I've been digging deep and going through the mental Rolodex.

The issue is self torture! Over hyping a situation that's not even present.

As the season keeps delivering the goods I know the questioning/thoughts will get dimmer.

Know this my friends, with every struggle or hurdle we go through we eventually overcome these set backs. They're not failures but refining of what needs sharpening.
