All the work, all the sweat, all the pain, but still no guarantees in this sport. A great practice today, xtra work after the work he put it in at high school practice. Most went home to eat dinner and or hang out with their friends. This is the path of the elite but the crazy thing is many individuals can take this very path and still never become elite. They however can become better then they were had they not chose the path of hard work. Building resilience is never a bad thing. We keep pushing to failure so the next time he fails it takes a little longer each time. When time comes to battle we then hope his opponents fail before he does. Big February coming up. I believe we have done everything we could have to be prepared so now we can only pray that when the whistle blows he is in good health, no sickness’s, and allergens are down. This should be the last season he has to worry about this as his immunotherapy seems to be making good progress.

3 top 10 ranked kids in the state in bracket today and a #15. #8 didn't even place. Not a bad bracket for a local event and was perhaps the most solid bracket overall in the event and still was overlooked for most outstanding wrestler. Should have been a lock in my opinion. Before the event started 1 kid unbeaten this year, another with 1 loss to a #1. Oh well, he was our mow today. Proud of my guy, happy and thankful to have my family there in support. A great day and 6 straight wins for Ashton since Thursday. Big thank you to the family for getting him prepared for this sophomore season. The coaching, workout partners are 2nd to none. Team building, confidence building and encouragement for my guy from coaches and student's at C2X has been amazing. More eyes on your kids (student's) the better. I as a wrestler and coach have spent my early wrestling years as part of one of the greatest wrestling traditions and best public wrestling school in the United States of America. Reynolds Wrestling. with highest winning percentage in Pennsylvania History. So I am picky about coaching. C2X can coach my kid any day!

Tournament champ yesterday, in the gym today. Not by my choice but at his own request. Lately I have been stepping in and mandating rest periods. Thats a good problem for me to have 💯👊💪

Check out the pictures. was giving out free hugs at the I-64 Final 4 today 🤣. His performance was astonishing up until he had an unfortunate injury of history revisit him. He dislocated his left knee. Hoping it doesn't hinder his high school sophomore years so prayers are appreciated. These brackets had state medal winners from various states. Nationally ranked guys. For Ashton to make the podium is a true tribute to the work he has put in since March.
