Our most popular mix for frost seeding long lasting cold season perennials! 🦌🍀🦌

Last week of rifle in Maryland and the is prime for some action!

Who else is still hunting!?

Surrounded by pines? Less than ideal soil conditions? Minimal equipment?

One of our favorite combos for these scenarios is a spring planting of Comeback Kid and No Bs. These products work great together to provide quick growth and long term establishment.

When do you start putting minerals out?

It’s not just about the antlers, but a complete mineral product like ⚡️Recharge⚡️ helps with stress prevention, fetal development, immune system health and disease prevention too.

Good to the last bite. 🦌

One of our favorite “no equipment needed” mixes!

Hot Chic is our Jack of all Trades!

One of our favorite things about the OG, Big Sexy, is that it doesn’t need cold weather to be attractive. Early Fall, Late Fall or Winter…it’ll have you covered.

Repost from

These deer are going to eat goood when winter finally comes! Even with the drought this year, this Big Sexy foodplot is showing out. 💪🏼

Temp drop. 🥶

Everybody wait your turn!

What is your strategy for fertilizing your food plots?

Well first - make sure that pH is right and get it tested so your plants can utilize all of the nutrients available.

Then - make sure you’re doing what you can to match the right fertilizer with what you’re planting.

We typically like to start our plots at planting with a granular fertilizer and then once plants are 4-5” tall we will use 1 round of liquid courage per month during growing season, unless plants are over stressed from drought.

Have questions, just holler at us!

It’s one of our favorites for those small food plots tucked back in the woods.

“I tried No Bs in a small section of my plot this year and I’m very happy with the results.”

Logging roads like this are created in the spring! Mixes like Hot Chic and Comeback Kid are great for long term establishment as long as you start them before the leaf canopy!

The backyard bucks sure enjoy a little snack!!

Stockpile + Bad Habit for the win 🤜🏻🤛🏻

They are our “Leadoff Batter” and the first mixes we will start planting - frost seeding - late winter!

It’s amazing what you can do with small equipment.

Small Property and an even smaller Food Plot - but year after year it produces the most deer activity.

This Hot Chic Food Plot was planted in late March in a semi-shaded plot. We used a leaf blower and landscaping rake along with 1 bag of pelleted lime, Dirty Deeds and some 10-10-10 fertilizer. Establishing it before the leaf canopy has allowed it to thrive even after the leaves developed and the plot became more shaded.

Before & After

It’s amazing what a little sweat equity can do! Put the work in during the off season and then grind it out during season and big things can happen!!

This is why it’s the foundation of our food plot program 🦌☘️🦌

“The deer are still hammering my Comeback Kid plot right now! I’m going to frost seed Hot Chic to thicken it up later this winter. I couldn’t believe how well Comeback Kid tolerated the drought this summer!”

Food Plot Makeover in your future? Or are you in the process of clearing out a new plot for 2024?

Overhaul can provide the perfect blend of plant varieties to get your plot off to a good start in the Spring of 2024. Feeding deer, suppressing weeds and building up the soil in preparation for a Fall Food Plot!

Have questions, we can help :)

A common question we get…

How big does a food plot need to be?

Our answer, ANYTHING is better than nothing and often times the smaller plots tend to me our best hunt plots!

One of our favorite things about planting Motherload in the Spring??

Tons and Tons of High Protein Forage makes it great for areas with higher deer density.

Photos from Domain Outdoor LLC's post 12/28/2023

The foundation of your food plot program should include long lasting, high protein, graze tolerant mixes like Hot Chic and Comeback Kid.

They are great on their own, planted together, frost seeded or if the ground is prepped and ready and will last up to 5 years.

Getting your child to love hunting as much as you do…advice welcomed 😁

There has always been a ton of buzz around "sugar beets" - but they should come with a warning label!

They do require some extra TLC to get great results...a pH close to 7.0, plenty of nutrients and no competition. But if you get it all right, your deer will thank you, as both the above ground greens and below ground tap root are highly sought after and provide incredible amounts of nutrition.
