It was the perfect day to honor our chapter’s namesake with a Citizen of the Republic of Texas Medallion Ceremony.
Around 50 people including current and founding chapter members of the John Berry Chapter, sons of the Republic of Texas, both the city Georgetown and Williamson County guests and Repulic of Texas Museum charter members at the Berry Springs Park and Preserve. The weather cooperated beautifully.
We gathered around John Berry’s gravesite, shared about his life as a settler of Texas and revealed the newly installed medallion.
