One of our favorite moments from the tournament.đ„đ€©đŁ
We were facing the same team that had handed us our only bracket loss a few days earlier, 3-2. Win or go home. Winner advances to the semifinals.
Bottom of the 5th. Time has expired. Weâre down 1-0.
Our leadoff hitter, Abigail Presswood, falls behind 0-2.
With ice in her veins⊠SHE LAYS DOWN A BUNT.
For those who donât know, attempting a bunt with two strikes is a huge gamble. Foul it off, and youâre out. But she trusted herself, dropped down a perfect bunt, and beat it out to first. The spark was lit.
Next up, Lexi Heinrichs.
Everyone in the park knows the call is a sac bunt to advance Abigail into scoring position. She knows they know and she couldnât have cared less. She calmly lays down another perfect bunt. The third baseman charges, nobody covers 3rd, and Abigail aggressively takes third while Lexi isnât only safe, but also advances to second.
Now weâve got two runners in scoring position.
Then Sawyer Jones steps into the box.
You could feel it.
In the stands, we quietly started whispering, âWalk-off⊠walk-off⊠walk-off.â
We believed it. She believed it. Deep down⊠they didnât want to, but they probably believed it, too.
First good pitch she seesâŠ
BAM.
Jones absolutely barrels the ball to the right-field fence for a two-RBI triple.
Ballgame.
Walk-off.
Semifinals.
Pure cinema. âš
This half-inning sums up the entire tournament. Trust. Ex*****on. Composure. Confidence. Resilience. Fight. Perseverance.
Every single girl did her job, and together they created a memory weâll never forget.
The girls went off and won the semi-final 11-2 against a great team and are now headed to the ship! KEEP BATTLING BOMBERS!!!!!

CTX Bombers Meza is moving on after an absolute thriller this morning! With the game on the line, Abigail Presswood laid a beautiful bunt down with 2 strikes making it to first. Lexi Heinrichs followed with another beautiful bunt advancing Abigail and making it to first. đ„đ„đ„Sawyer Jones walks up in the biggest moment, delivering a walk-off to keep our Southern Nationals run alive! đ„
These girls continue to show grit, heart, and the refusal to quit. On to the next!đŁ

What a run it has been for CTX Bombers Meza at the USSSA Southern Nationals! And theyâre not done yet!
These girls have battled their way to a 6-2 tournament record and are still going strong. After falling short in one of yesterdayâs bracket games, they came back with something to prove, going 3-0 today to earn their spot among the final four teams remaining.
Theyâve competed through brutal Texas heat with zero substitutes and have shown no signs of slowing down. Their grit, resilience, and fight have been incredible to watch, and we couldnât be more proud of this group.
Tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM, theyâll take the field in a win-or-go-home matchup with a chance to keep this amazing run alive.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on from home, and believed in these girls.

Praying for safe travels for each of our families as we head to Frisco to compete in the Southern Nationals. đ€ đ„đ
This will be our final 10U tournament before we move up to 12U next season, and weâre looking forward to one last hoorah. Ready to compete, make memories, and finish our 10U chapter strong.đŁ
