Yesterday the team travelled out to a bouldering comp at CRG Warwick!! Everyone killed it and had a great time 🆙🧗‍♂️

First comp of the season is done!

Everyone looked super strong at our first bouldering competition of the season! More to come in the next few weeks- we are pumped💪💪🆙

Today the team had a great time pumpkin picking/carving and getting lost in a corn maze🎃🌽

🚨Hey everyone! Here is our member Monday spotlight for the week, our Climbing Team’s Vice President, Garrick!! 🤙

Garrick is going to be a senior psych major this upcoming year, and is from Stamford, CT! He has been climbing for 4 years! His favorite holds are flat edge crimps, least favorite are hood wide pinches! 🧗‍♂️

Garrick’s favorite team memory was supporting the team during a tough divisionals set this year! So pumped for the upcoming season!!😤💪💪

👋Hey guys! For this week’s member Monday, we havethis years secretary, Chris Schonewald, from North Kingstown RI!!

Chris is a junior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and German. He’s been climbing for about 6 years now, and has always bounced back and forth between ropes and boulders. Chris is a manager and route setter at the UConn Climbing Center, but when he’s not climbing, you can catch him mountain biking, hiking or trying to make music!! 🚵‍♂️🥾

Chris is psyched to train hard this year and get his endurance up!😤😤

For this week’s member Monday we have Lee, this year’s treasurer! She is a senior Nutritional Sciences major with a food science minor.

She’s also the vice president at WHUS Radio! Lee has been on the team for one year and has made great memories and friends. Favorite holds are crimps by far and she has a strong dislike for slopers. Fav memory is TEXAS ROADHOUSE 🤞🏼🤞🏼

He is a UConn junior studying Animal Science on the pre-vet track! 🐶🐱🩺

Gray has been on the team for 2 years, and is super hype for this upcoming year! He loves underclings and least favorite holds are crimps! His favorite team memories are any of our post-competition meals or parties. The team has not only grown to be super strong, but an amazing family! 💙🆙
