In February I launched The Workwell Collective, a sister brand to and creative consultancy solving the problems of why teams might hate their jobs while showing leadership emotional intelligence to retain your star “silent quitters”.

In April I created a pilot program to get the word out, and it’s been a wild ride of referrals and new relationships since.

Last week, I was invited to do my lil PR and Project Management thing on a national level, representing an amazing new partnership with with an amazing team of community leaders in Minneapolis.

Minnesota owes me nothing, and wellness is the genre always 🥹😍🙏🏾

I was cleaning my bookshelf and came across some old notes I used when I was developing .

What stood out is, I did everything I said I would. I created a brand that feels like home. A love letter to the mind, body, and spirit of others. A safe space to view self care and sensuality, mental health and curiosity, grief and empowerment, and all the micro intersections in between.

Time to write the additional chapters ❤️😭🥹🥰

Life has called me to build something big right now — and it won’t happen overnight. May is mental health awareness month, and there’s no better time than to remove the weight of growing fast over growing long. The Nappy Bohemian (and ) is never far from my heart. In THIS season self-care looks like more alignment in purpose, restructuring routines to feel more satisfying, being more strategic, and diving deeper into authenticity, sensuality, and the playful energy we possess as a woman.

Mental Health Awareness Month but also, aren’t we all resetting, falling, getting back up, realizing, reconnecting, and getting to the good parts all the time? The hurdles are there, the deep challenges are there. Getting stuck in it is there.

I had my first real panic attack in 2019, a few weeks before my mom who was on hospice passed away. My life changed. My mind changed. My heart still grieves and my body still responds strongly to emotion.

What I do know is after each valley, the rebirth is greater and greater. Each and every time. Apply the lessons from the test.
