I caught the last day of Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. A favorite show of mine. So many inspirational works curated by the juror Sigrid Burton. Reminder, this show occurs in late summer 😅 I almost missed it. I am going submit for the next edition of this show.

Fortunate to catch the last day of the Noah Davis show. What a treat to spend time with these large paintings. They are both realistic & surreal, very painterly and absolutely beautiful. He died at the young age of 32. With money he inherited from his dad, Noah bought adjacent commercial buildings in LA and started a grass roots are collective 🤩

Happy New Year 2025. Was at Against the Stream Meditation Service. Heard a short dharma discourse then ~150 of us in attendance and on zoom, one by one, shared intentions for the year as we each lit a candle. Sweet Sangha. I really like the black and gold paintings hung at the front of the hall, elegant and dynamic.

Brewery Art Walk is opening for the day. So many people turned out yesterday, must have been 1,000s 😅 It gets overwhelming for introverts, so I set up a water color station for people to take some creative time for themselves.

Once you find the webpage, there’s a drop down menu. Select VIST for parking information. There are many live in artist studios that will be open. I’ll have some art up at ‘Jesus Wall Gallery’, it’s on a 2nd floor, address on flyer. There are many buildings, it’s like a maze - be prepared get lost as you explore this old brewery complex.

Eco-printed leaves I collected (in the box) on cotton paper. The results are shown - a lot of pigments transferred 🙂 I will soak the other half for two months. There shouldn’t be so much bleed after soaking. Also collected a third batch of leaves gardens for soaking/printing. Thanks to for the educational materials 🙏🏽
