Same trail.
Different riders.
Different journeys.

Some riders hit a feature confidently the first time. Others take a few tries, slow down to assess it, or decide they’re not ready yet.

And that’s okay.

One of the most important parts of coaching is understanding that every rider grows differently. Confidence, progression, and skill development rarely look the same from rider to rider.

At GBX, coaches work to meet riders where they are, helping them feel supported, challenged, and safe while building confidence at their own pace.

Because growth on the trail is not about comparing riders.
It’s about helping each individual rider continue moving forward.

Before every GBX ride, there’s a full process riders go through before anyone even hits the trail.

Every practice starts with goal setting and a comprehensive safety and readiness check to make sure riders are prepared for the day ahead. Coaches help riders check helmets, hydration, gear, weather preparedness, nutrition, trail readiness, and overall bike condition before groups head out.

As part of that process, riders also go through our ABCs:
A = Air
B = Brakes
C = Chain

These routines help riders build safe habits, responsibility, and confidence while learning how to properly prepare for time on the trail, not just ride the bike itself.

Over time, riders begin understanding that preparation matters just as much as the ride itself.

Because confidence on the trail starts long before the ride begins.

Summer ride season is almost here, and Meet & Greet is where it all begins.

This is the day riders meet their coaches, get their bikes and helmets checked, pick up swag, grab jerseys (if purchased), and start getting excited for the season ahead. It’s also a chance for families to connect with the GBX community before the first rides officially begin.

Our volunteer mechanics will be onsite helping with bike and gear checks to make sure riders are ready to roll, and JeffCo Open Space will also be there with bells and stickers for athletes.

Most importantly, this is the start of a summer full of confidence building, friendships, trail miles, and unforgettable experiences on the bike.

We can’t wait to kick off another incredible season with this community.

Meet & Greet Schedule
Morning Cohorts: 10 –11 AM
Evening Cohorts: 11 AM–12 PM

You could spend your summer doing a lot of different things.
And the riders joining GBX this season chose this.

They chose early mornings, long climbs, dusty trails, challenge, progress, and showing up ride after ride. They chose to push themselves, spend time outside, and be part of a community built around encouragement, growth, and adventure.

That choice matters.

Because the kind of confidence built on the trail doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from effort, consistency, and being willing to keep trying even when something feels hard.

To all of the riders spending their summer with GBX, we’re grateful you chose to be here.

It’s going to be an incredible season.

For many riders and parents, the first day at GBX comes with a mix of excitement and nerves.

That’s completely normal.

Our goal from the very beginning is to create an environment where riders feel safe, welcomed, and supported as they get comfortable on the trail and within their group.

Every practice starts with goal setting and a full safety check before riders head out with their coaches. From reviewing routes and trail expectations to skill work and group riding, each session is designed to help riders build confidence step by step.

Whether it’s a rider’s very first season or they’ve been with GBX for years, we want every athlete to feel encouraged, challenged, and excited to come back for the next ride.

We can’t wait to kick off another incredible summer season with this community.

Still have questions before the season starts?

We’re happy to help.

We’re grateful for partners like DAS Optics who believe in the power of getting kids outside and on bikes.

Built around adventure, mountain bike culture, and life outside, DAS Optics continues to support the GBX mission and the opportunities it creates for young riders in our community.

And through the end of May, they’re giving back even more.

For every pair of Pinnacles sold, DAS Optics is doubling their donation to GBX from $10 to $20 per pair sold. That support directly helps create opportunities for young riders to build confidence, skills, and lasting experiences on the trail.

We’re incredibly thankful for businesses that invest in the next generation of riders and the outdoor community as a whole.

To all the families who have registered for the upcoming GBX season, thank you.

We know that signing your child up for a program like this means placing trust in the people who will be guiding them on the trail. That trust is something we never take lightly.

Behind every ride is a team of dedicated coaches and volunteers who care deeply about safety, skill development, and creating an environment where young riders can grow with confidence.

Our goal is simple: help every rider feel supported, challenged, and excited to get back on the bike.

We are grateful to the families who make this community possible, and we can’t wait to see everyone on the trail this season.

The question is: ARE YOU READY TO RIDE?!

Some sports train one thing.
Mountain biking trains everything.

Riders build balance and coordination as they move through technical terrain. They develop strength and endurance on long climbs and challenging rides. Every trail requires quick decisions, problem solving, and the ability to stay calm when things get tough.

It’s physical, but it’s also mental.

That’s why mountain biking builds athletes who are adaptable, resilient, and confident. Skills that help them not just on the trail, but in every part of life.

That’s the power of time spent on a bike.

We’re grateful for the local partners who help make the GBX mission possible.

This week we’re highlighting Seven6 Real Estate, led by Dominic Massa. Their support helps create opportunities for young riders to build confidence, develop skills, and experience the community that makes GBX special.

Seven6 Real Estate is a locally owned boutique brokerage serving the West Metro area, and their commitment to supporting local families and the outdoor community makes them a natural partner for GBX.

Thank you to Seven6 Real Estate for supporting youth riders and helping us continue to grow the next generation of mountain bikers.
