- HOW I BECAME THE BATMAN -
As a boy, I witnessed my parents' gruesome murder by an unknown gunman and vowed revenge against all who broke the law
- ALL YOU HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT ME -
My name is Bruce Wayne, Born a November 17th, and I am the billionaire son of Thomas and Martha Wayne and CEO of Wayne Enterprises. I'm also the secret identity of the crime-fighting Vigilante known as the Batman. I was raised in the fictional city of Gotham where have parents owned Wayne Enterprises, employing some 170,000 people. When I was a young boy I witnessed the tragic murder of my parents, by the criminal Joe Chill, late one night after leaving a theater (where the movie "Zorro" was playing). I grew up enraged and traumatized by my parents death. Years later when I was in my early 20's, I took to crime fighting as a way to deal with my anger, as well as avenge my parents. One evening whilst brooding over my inability to intimidate criminals, a bat came flying through the window of my study at stately Wayne Manor. This event sparked the idea of donning a frightening bat-like costume. The concept of a bat-themed suit resonated with Me due to my childhood fear of bats and the memory of my father wearing a bat costume to a masquerade party. I have appeared as Batman in comic books, graphic novels, novels. cartoon series, television series, animated films, and feature films since my creation in 1939 by cartoonists Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
