We’re using the foam roller to get thoracic extension while the shoulders move through a controlled, open range of motion. This helps improve posture, restore shoulder mobility, and build strength in positions most people never train.

At Tri90, we don’t just lift weights. We coach movement. We look at how your body actually moves, where you’re tight, where you’re weak, and we train those positions with purpose.

This is The Tri90 Way.

Education. Experience. Expertise.

Not your average gym. Not your average training.

At Tri90, we work hard. We lift. We grind. We push.

But I’ve learned the hard way that if you don’t also take care of your body and your nervous system, eventually it catches up to you.

That’s why Kendall’s yoga and recovery class matters here.

This is about restoring mind, body, and soul. About slowing things down. About breathing. About healing. About moving better so you can keep doing the hard stuff you love to do.

Right now it’s just a small crew but I’d really love to open this up to our community.

So here’s the invit, from the heart.
For the rest of February, come be our guest.
Come try Kendall’s class. Come meet her. Come be part of this space.

All ages. All levels. All people welcome.
No pressure. No expectations. Just show up.

We train hard here. We should recover just as hard too.

That’s the Tri90 way.

The Spanish squat is one of our go-to movements for building knee and hip strength without beating up your joints. The band support lets you stay more upright, which shifts the load into the quads and hips while taking stress off the knees and lower back.

Why we love it at Tri90...

-Builds strong quads to support healthy knees
-Trains the hips and glutes to stay stable and powerful
-Reinforces a tall, strong posture under load
-Improves ankle, knee, and hip coordination
-Great for reducing knee pain while still training hard

Real life carryover (especially for construction, trades, and active jobs):

If you’re always squatting, kneeling, stepping, lifting, twisting, or working in awkward positions, this builds the leg strength and joint stability you need to move better, hurt less, and stay durable on the job.

Stronger legs. Healthier knees. Better movement for everyday life.

That’s the Tri90 way.

Thanks for your help and trust Chris!

THE TRI90 WAY

1. Everyone belongs. Safe place. Real growth. No exceptions.

2. Progress over perfection. Show up. Stay consistent. Get better.

3. Trust the process. Trust the plan, the coaches, and the work.

4. Play the long game. Real change takes time. Stay the course.

5. We walk it together. Community over ego. No one left behind.

6. No shortcuts. No hacks. Just honest work.

7. Meet people where they are. Respect the start. Build from there.

8. Effort is the standard. You don’t have to be perfect. You do have to try.

9. Details matter. How you move. How you train. How you treat people.

10. We build people, not just bodies. Strength carries into life.

Here’s a short highlight from our Hip Clinic featuring Emily talking about the importance of hip internal rotation.

One thing she consistently notices with clients during her time with Tri90 fitness is a lack of internal rotation at the hips. When that rotation is missing, the body often compensates through the lower back or knees and that’s where issues can start.

In this clip, Emily coaches a step-back with internal rotation:

-Weight stays on the front foot
-Spine stays tall and neutral
-Rotation comes from the hip and core, not the low back

You should feel this in your glutes and hips, not in your lower back.

This is just one of the ways we build control, restore rotation, and help people move better in everyday life.

Here we have Miss Kathy working a supported single-leg RDL with banded hip abduction, held in an isometric position. The PVC pipes are there for light support so we can keep the focus exactly where it matters.

Why this exercise is "money" (In Oscar's voice) especially for our older population:

-Builds single-leg balance and confidence
-Improves hip stability and control
-Strengthens the glute med, glute max, and hamstrings
-Gently opens the hip while reinforcing proper alignment

This isn’t about how heavy you lift, it’s about going slow and controlled. Strong hips mean better walking, safer transitions, fewer falls, and more confidence in everyday life.

This is the Tri90 way.

Meet people where they are.
Build strength with intention.
Train for life, not just the gym.

Take a moment and listen to Kate talk about the importance of stability and mobility in the hip before we ever start strengthening.

There are steps to building strength and muscle comes after control. Here, she’s guiding attendees through single-leg balance, reinforcing one of our core beliefs: stability comes first in smart strength programming.

This is the Tri90 way.

Assessment matters. Understanding your client’s body matters. These first steps are vital when it comes to effective, individualized programming and long-term results.

Hanging Knee Raises with Med Ball Adduction

Jeana is performing a hanging knee raise while actively squeezing a med ball between the knees. That small detail changes everything.

The adduction lights up the inner thighs and deep hip stabilizers while the lower core has to control the pelvis in space. This is real hip-core integration not just “abs.” We do not train for "show."

Why it matters:

-Builds lower core strength that supports the spine
-Improves hip control and pelvic stability
-Reinforces coordination needed for walking, stairs, lifting, and getting off the floor
-Teaches the body to create strength while hanging, bracing, and moving together

This is how we train for real life. At Tri90 we meet people where they’re at and give them strength that carries over outside the gym.

Thanks for your help as always, sis.
