📣 Big Announcement for Rick’s Custom Rod & Reel Repair

Fellow followers, I’ve got some great news to share — both personal and business.

First, our family celebrated a huge milestone last night as we married off our oldest son. It was an incredible wedding, and we couldn’t be happier for him and his new wife.

Now for the business update. On Friday, I sent an introductory email to the General Manager at Bass Pro Shops in Independence. While helping set up for the wedding, I received a call — and the caller ID said Bass Pro Shops. It was the General Manager himself.

In my email, I proposed partnering with their repair desk and with the Springfield repair center. As many of you know, sending gear to Springfield can take around four weeks. Most anglers don’t want to wait that long to get back on the water. I explained that my shop is locally owned, offers fast turnaround, and keeps many repair parts on hand.

I’m proud to announce that Rick’s Custom Rod & Reel Repair will now be promoted by Bass Pro Shops in Independence.

I want to thank all of you — followers, customers, and supporters — for your past and future business. Your trust and encouragement have helped make this possible.

More updates to come, and as always, I appreciate every one of you.

Sorry folks i have not been in the shop for a few weeks now. Stand by this is a long one!! For some you know and for those that do not.. my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in September. it was a stage 1 mass and under 2 centimeter. she had a double mastectomy on the 28th of September and got an infection from the expander reconstruction implants. The hard part is she has alpha-gal syndrome which is an allergy to red meets and gelatin and much more. she decided to remove them and not do reconstruction. During this last stay in the hospital we found out her marker numbers that decide if she gets chemo or not were on the lower side, 7 out of 23. anything over 23 needs chemo. my how time and technology make us better. SHE DOES NOT NEED CHEMO.. PRAISE THE LORD. please keep us in your prayers as i now know what she does for my parents as a care giver. she does all their meds and doctor visits and much more. As i only had the first few days this week and the weekend in the hospital with her being her patient advocate, i know she is a true family hero. i want to thank Mathis Kristina our daughter and Robin Davis her friend of over 50 years for taking the first week and initial mastectomy and getting her home. i did round 2 the removal of the expanders due to the infection and prevention of sepsis. As it was unexpected due to the infection, there was no time to plan as we did the first time. thank you all for the support and prayers. please keep them going... thank you all again...
