Well you all get that here! Buy it, use it the way it’s intended and enjoy it!
We somehow turned “convenience” into another chore.
You want to park your car?
Download the app.
You want to order lunch?
Create an account.
You want to see the menu?
Scan the QR code.
Then verify your email, accept the cookies, enter your phone number, create a password, and maybe join the rewards program while you’re at it.
All because you wanted a cheeseburger.
I’m not against technology. A lot of it has made our lives dramatically easier.
But somewhere along the way, businesses stopped seeing every customer as simply a person buying something.
Now you’re an email address to market to.
A phone number to text.
A purchase history to analyze.
A location to track.
A customer profile to monetize.
And suddenly, one of the most underrated luxuries in modern life is walking into a business, paying for something, and leaving without creating an account.
That’s it.
No app.
No password.
No “exclusive offers” arriving in your inbox for the next six years.
Technology should remove friction from our lives, not create five extra steps between us and a parking space.
Sometimes I don’t want a personalized experience.
I just want to give you my money and go home.
What modern “convenience” would you happily send back to 2010?
