MHSAA boys cross country: See the top Greater Lansing runners

The Grand Ledge cross country team was one of the best in Greater Lansing in 2025.
The Comets captured the title at the Greater Lansing Cross Country Championships and also captured a league title and placed eighth at the Division 1 state finals.
And expectations remain high for Grand Ledge with a strong core of talent back. That includes having three returning runners who ranked in the top 15 in the area in 2025.
That trio highlights the runners to know in the Lansing area this season.
Nolan Lounds, Grand Ledge
▶ Year: Senior
Lounds had one of the top-15 fastest times in the area during a junior season. He concluded by placing 75th at the state finals.
Caelan Marsh, Grand Ledge
▶ Year: Senior
Marsh finished in the top 10 at the Greater Lansing Cross Country Championships as a junior and was a Division 1 state finals qualifier. He had a career-best time of 16:09.5 during his junior season. Marsh is not far off that time this year, running a 16:14.7 while finishing 11th at the Portage Central Early Bird meet.
Rylen Richey, Grand Ledge
▶ Year: Junior
Richey capped his sophomore season by facing 44th at the Division 1 state finals last fall with a season-best time of 15:52.8. He opened this season by taking fifth at the Portage Central Early Bird Invite on Aug. 21.
